India: Two Dead, Several Injured After Passenger Train Derails in UP | Vantage with Palki Sharma

In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a train accident killed at least two people and injured several others. The incident took place after a passenger train derailed, overturning several coaches. The train was travelling from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh. The cause of the accident is not known yet. Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed immediate deployment of rescue and relief personnel at the spot. In a post on X, the CM said, "The train accident in Gonda district is extremely sad. District administration officials have been directed to carry out relief and rescue operations on a war footing and to take the injured to the hospital on top priority and provide them proper treatment. I pray to Lord Shri Ram for the speedy recovery of the injured."
