The way it handled the roadworks around 9:00 onwards and ignoring the navigation is absolutely incredible. I may not have done so well myself. Outstanding.

My urban drives with many construction zones have also been very positive on 12.5. I'm encouraged by the rate of improvement and knowing FSD will continually improve. I can't imagine where it will be in 12 months.
  • I jumped from V12.3.6 straight to V12.5 and 1st 2 drives have been much improved. Several consistent problem areas are fixed.

Wow 8:41 that is impressive. And Wow that is almost crazy car choosing better route than Google map navigation at 9:40🤯

I went from 12.3.6 to 12.5. Things I’ve noticed right away was a more natural and gentler acceleration and a more smoother lane change into left or right turn lanes. For some reason it would turn and hesitate. Now it just goes into the turning lane right away.

12:10 Road Closed? That must only apply to human drivers. I can clearly see an opening to squeeze through right here! Zooom 🚗

Great video, looking forward to the stack merge. Want to see it be that good on the highway. Some interesting times a head.

Got 12.5 last night. Basically from office curb, to front of house garage without touching steering wheel or tapping accelerator. Handled 3 stop signs like I would without hesitation like 12.3.6. Finally seeing value from my purchase of FSD since 2018. Super impressed.

Thanks for not being a muskrat glazer like most Tesla channels, refreshing to hear calm nuanced takes from you. I'm not an Elon fan at all but the engineering team behind FSD is impressive. Also shoutout to still using the Twitter icon too lol

I got it today too and tried it, and it is vastly improved over 12.4. Had a lot of similar experiences to yours.

I woke up at 4am to the message at 1am to download! First drive was iffy, failing a few of my usual edge cases. It ended with me taking over as it was turning into a store and cut it too close with an on coming car. It probably would have been fine but better safe. My afternoon drive from supercharger to my house was flawless.

12:33 I don’t think it was committed due to the nav. FSD tends to commit to the lane direction so if it mistakenly went in the left turn lane then it’ll turn left despite nav telling it to go straight. In this case it appeared to be in a straight only lane and tried to go straight rather than make a right. When it ignored the nav on the previous drive, it was able to make a legal right turn from the lane. Could have taken the right turn lane earlier but it didn’t seem to understand the road was closed in time. This is where vehicle to fleet communications will come in handy.

Can't wait to try this for myself. I live in an area where the roads are marked pretty well, so it should be nearly perfect here.
