Not sure about the laws your mentioned about shipping over state lines. I live in NY and have shipped several automatic Benchmades in for servicing and received them back with no issue. They seem to be one of the few companies that are really trying to abide by the laws. No problems. Auto knives seem to be a state issue, not federal.

The bottom is better on that knife everything else is better on the microtech

Good review. But $275 for a knife with a useless lanyard hole, and a blade that protrudes from the front??? Don't think so...
