I’m so surprised to hear people compare this to Not A Perfume. I think Missing Person is way more soft, warm and feminine.

I was curious about the hype behind Phlur’s Missing Perfume. So, I went to Sephora to smell this perfume both on a card and on my person. Admittedly, it does smell super familiar and, within 20 minutes of trying to identify what it smelled like, it dawned on me that it smells like watered down Egyptian musk… not bad, but nothing new and seemingly overpriced.

Thank you for this review! I blind bought the travel size yesterday and was worried due to the mixed reviews online. I agree, the perfume reminds me of Juliet has a gun not a perfume and a little bit of radiant nectar from reserve!

One of the ingredients you mentioned is that exact scent that goes with your body chemistry. I have both of the comparisons you and not a perfume, and It is the cetalox.

It was very underwhelming. I don’t get the hype. It doesn’t last and it’s not a new type of scent.

Individual skin chemistry just astounds me. I wanted to love this perfume so much! Put it on me and for whatever reason, it smells like a little old lady. And it was so. STRONG. It took forever to get off of me. I hated everything about it 😭😭😭 EDIT: Spelling error

I immediately thought of Glossier's "You" and Juliette has a gun as well when I first smelled it 👍🏻 I love it but it is SO subtle on me. I read that a lot of people are anosmic to musk smells (so that they can't detect it), so maybe that's why it has so little impact for me. But if it was stronger I would totally wear this every day. SO comforting yet sexy!

I am obsessed with this scent. It reminds me so much of an old favorite that I wore years ago. Narciso Rodriguez Musc Intense in the blackish pink bottle. I really loved it and I was so upset when they discontinued it. It’s just really clean and sexy, there’s something addictive about it.

I don’t personally find this to smell like Glossier You or Not a Perfume. Similar vibe in terms of being light musks, but to me Missing Person has more of a sweet powdery touch and I get nothing sweet in the other two at all. I often wonder if I’m anosmic to something in Not A Perfume because people seem to love it, yet to me it just smells dirty and animalic, pretty off putting actually. Missing person is definitely a comforting scent.

Ironically, Missing person and Glossier "You" were the two I wanted to sample next. Are they so similar that I should only choose one? Or are they similar in the sense that "they smell different according to our personal body scent and chemistry"? I hope that questioning makes sense. Thank you🙏🏽
