Biggest Swap Meet In Texas. Pate 2023 Part 2

Published 2023-05-16
The big one is back in Texas. The 2023 Pate Swap Meet was another success overall. There were some technical hiccups along the way as well as bas weather forecasts but in the end, it went pretty smooth. I managed to score a few good deals as always and got to sell all my 1940 Cadillac parts including a rare rechromed grill gaurd that will be going all the way to Australia. The buyer said it will be for his 40 caddy LaSalle. Once again I got to hang out my the Valley Boys which is always a lot of fun. I can't wait until next year. This is year I managed two 30 minute videos as I didn't have enough time for more. I will definitely start recording sooner next year.

I love swap meets. I always find a bunch of stuff i didnt know i needed. I'm the pround owner of a restored antique 30's barber chair for no other reason than it was so shiny and it was at the swap meet. Honestly, i don't cut hair nor am i friends with a barber or stylist. Lot's of good stuff there man, thanks for sharing it with us.

You're right about that 66 Cadillac, very clean. And I think it is worth what they're asking for it. Thanks Benny for taking us along.

Olds school Waterloo made Craftsman toolbox at about 7:00 in. I have the 1960s version (times two) of those, including one I bought recently off of FB where the person delivered it to me and I got him to lower the price. Yes, I remember the Land Cruiser from the yard videos. For the Cadillac at 27:00 in for $37k, the least he could do is change the trunk weatherstrip which is readily available from many sources. I watch your swap meet videos, but sometimes I admittedly fall asleep watching them and have to wake myself up. LOL. They are a bit like watching paint dry, but they are still interesting. LOL. I know folks watching them helps with ad revenue. I saw a circa 1979 Malibu yesterday with an old school cowl hood on it while out on a business trip in Ohio this week. Not too many old school cars on the road out there (at least where i was near Columbus).
