Actually i belive Bungie will work on something else, besides Rumors insist that Gearbox Inc. Is working on Halo 4. Being a launch game for the next Gen Xbox.

@NCC17O1Q. Halo Reach is the last FPS game following the original Halo title made by Bungie.

So, look at call of duty they jumped from WW2 to present. Doesn't mean Halo 4 has to lead off of 3 but, either way, halo 3 will be hard to top.
