  • 'I couldn't afford the original so I made a copy.' Now that's inspiring and strangely a concept that opens up all sorts of possibilities. Great work as always.
  • @Gnaboaix
Woah new intro is fire. Aside from your incredible paintings, your videos are also mainstream TV quality. You inspire fellow small artists like me so much Andrew. 🙏
  • I love that idea of using a messier brush for the further parts to create that background fuzziness and depth of field, then getting crisper lines in the foreground. Simple and effective.
  • Good job Andrew, been awhile since I checked out your videos, your slowly becoming a new master, you referred to the old masters and all your viewers referre to you as a new master! Good job brother
  • it's good to see someone as talented as you being open to learning and expanding, rather than sitting in ego. love the humility along with the expertise - so refreshing
  • You really capture so much of the spontaneity and looseness of brush strokes that the original had. And just as a heads up many American and international museums have super hi-res images available for download as a part of an open-access program(tied to fair use of public domain work). Perhaps the next time you could use one of those so you could see a close up of the brushstrokes.

Tisch you have no clue how much you have inspired me in the past few years. The effort you put into your videos and your editing is just remarkable man. Happy holidays to you and the family 🍾
  • Wow, wonderful! And the frame was stunning as well. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
  • I love how loose and informal your brush strokes are. You're so right - the artist kind of shmooshes the details away in the shadow but then your brain fills in what is missing. Beautiful exercise - and thanks for sharing your little one! He's growing like a weed! Merry Christmas to your whole family. Victoria British Columbia Canada🎄
  • Andrew, I love seeing you do Master copies because it's you trying to figure out what another master has done to get a certain effect. It also gives me insights to the inspiring works that you hold dear. You are a great artist and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
  • I watched this when you first released the video, and I come back to it probably every 2 weeks. I love the roughness but accuracy - definitely similar to my rough sketch like style
  • Good job. I love painting the masters work, I learn so much. Explaining your thought process as you work is also a great teaching tool. Thank you
  • @peterauger380
Beautifully painted. Gorgeous frame. Well done Andrew! Thanks for sharing.
  • Breathtaking, as always. I love your generosity of spirit in sharing your knowledge and expertise. God bless you, and Merry Christmas! Your son is adorable!
