Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Demo

The GREATEST amp of all time. I saved up for a year to get it and it was the best $1000 I ever spent! I got this before I even got a car lol. The first time I played through one was magical and I realized it was the tones on my fav albums when I was a kid; Superunknown, Iowa, Undertow, Garage Inc., S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Follow the Leader, Chocolate Starfish, Hybrid Theory, and countless others!

I played a dual rectifier for quite a while. About 8 years ago I parted ways with it and felt I needed to go to a more versatile rig. Well long story short, I went back, I once again own a 3 Channel dual rectifier! I didn't really explore my first Dual Rec as thoroughly as I should have, because now I really can honestly say with the different Channel mode options, and the different tube options there really isn't much I can't get out of this amp! And boy oh boy does this thing love volume! If you ever try one out you can't really know how amazing it can sound until you really crank this thing up to about at least halfway on the master volume. A lot of the "Fizz" that people complain about disappears and it just opens up and creates this wall of sound that I have not been able to get out of any other tube amplifier. The bedroom level sounds are good too, but when cranked up, the Dual Rectifier puts a smile on my face every time!

I never had one of these, but while lookin' for tube amps on youtube, this is the only one I could buy with no questions if I had the money. Any settings seems to be very well balanced and this piece of dreams could offer me all that I wish of an amp.

Why is everyone complaining about the Strat? It's the most popular (and most-replicated) guitar there is, so it makes the demo more relevant for more people thinking of buying a Mesa. Also if you're talking about how good a PRS or a Gibson sounds through a Mesa, you've already heard it already, so why did you even bother watching this demo? No harm in trying new pairings!

that's why i love mesas: they can do it all. doesn't matter the style of music you're playing, you can find a tone to fit it on a mesa. good review :)
