Riker: "No you CAN'T don't even TRY!"
-
Should've called in Riker for an opinion.
-
When I stroke the beard...thusly, does it not make me appear to be more... Riker-like?
-
I swear to god half the data moments in early tng were Brent Spiner doing his ABSOLUTE BEST to make his colleagues break
-
It suddenly occurred to me, watching this clip, when Geordi asks if Data damaged his face, it's because he can't actually see the beard. All his visor picks up is a weird distortion around Data's face. Geordi is probably the wrong guy to ask about aesthetic choices.

I am an expert on beards. Fine, full dignified beards which command respect and projects thoughtfulness and dignity. Data has achieved one of these perfect beards.
-
The very next day when he invites the 2 back... Data: "When I rub my bald head thusly..."
-
It's Evil Data. You can tell he's evil cause of the beard.
-
"Why was she laughing?" Because you're adorable. That's why.
-
I came back for : "When I stroke the beard thusly"...
-
This episode of TNG is brought to you by Dollar Shave Club!
-
"When I stroke the beard thusly". Oh, Data, this show would not have been the same without you.
-
"Did you damage your face Data?" "It is a beard Geordi... a fine full dignified beard..." The funniest exchange between Geordi and Data in seven seasons!!! I'm surprised the counsellor was able to keep a straight face that long. I've seen a dozen times and it never gets old.

They should have kept it a running gag throughout the episode. Every time someone doesn't react to Data's beard the way he expects he should show up in the next scene with a new attempt. Perhaps a Klingon style beard, then some big old lamb chop sideburns, then a handlebar mustache, or a fu man chu. BWUAHAHAHA.

😐 Meanwhile on the bridge... Riker: "Riker to Security" Security: "Yes sir?" Riker: I'd like to report a theft. Security: "Sir?* Riker: Someone has stolen my beard."
-
I love how everyone is like "Androids don't do X" and "Androids don't do Y" but ... there are only two ... so its more like "Data doesn't get insecure" or "Lore is completely evil."
-
Marina was probably thinking "Thank god this scene actually calls for me leave laughing, because honestly I couldn't hold it together anymore"
-
Brent Spiner deserved an Emmy for pulling this scene off without so much as a hint of breaking character.
-
Data is the king of everything
-
"Did you damage your face?!?" LOL
