i just cant believe that a lot of the players think they are above criticism based on how they have played so far against much worse opposition
-
Gareth has created a collection of victims
-
Judeโs ego is getting pretty large
-
We are critical because they have been absolute shite...simple as that...!!!
-
Simon is spot on...this is a generational issue. In modern society we are encouraged to think in straight lines , worry about upsetting/offending people and younger people do not have resilience to deal with criticism and challenge
-
FFS, can these footballers grow up. They are living a dream which most people would love to do. Sure criticism sucks, but your lives are not horrible
-
Bellingham came across like an absolute brat. If you donโt like criticism then play better, they have been woeful and a 95 minute bicycle kick doesnโt change that. When the Swiss wipe the floor with us I hope they are prepared for the โunfairโ criticism they will come their way.

If Jude canโt cope now good luck to him if the Madrid fans turn on him ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐

Massive egos, sense of entitlement, beyond criticism and fuelled by a victim complex. Yep, sounds like the modern world to me.
-
I look at the โitโs good to give a bit backโ comment as very immature tbh. Jude showing his age there. He needs to realise criticism is going to happen. This attitude will quickly turn people against him. Grow a thick skin is my advice. Having said that Iโm a 35 year old unemployed bum and heโs a 20 year old multi millionaire so maybe I need his advice!

Kane didn't wanna pass to palmer.
-
Not one of them has the honesty to just say, "it wasn't great, we need to go and work to be better in the next round" . Fodens celebration of sucking his thumb like a toddler just about sums them up.
-
Its a shame the tournament isn't played in North Korea. Bellingham would receive the praise he doesn't deserve over there
-
When he said "who else"? after scoring that goal, it says a lot about what he is trying to become. That was arrogance and petulance like no one is better than him. It won't serve him well, and I like him as a player. He needs to be quiet and just play football.
-
Boys not Men, pressure is having bills that you cannot pay!
-
Jude is full of himself.. he has been awful all tournament. Took his goals well but no one can say the team is playing well.
-
They are, for the most part, being paid per year more than I earned for my entire working life and they are feeling affronted? Do me a favour.
-
players need to ignore the outside word at the moment and focus on the competition, they are some of the best players in the world!
-
Southgate is the problem.

I don't think it's just about Southgate. I get a sense of a lack of willingness from the players to push themselves in these England matches. In their minds, they've got a long season coming up in August, where they'll be earning their millions, and they don't want to damage their fitness. Couple that with players who have an eye on a big transfer, or a contract negotiation, and agents will be prepared to blame anyone if things go wrong (Southgate, his tactics, the fans, the media pressure). I keep waiting for at least one of these superstars to grab the bull by the horns, but it never happens. It's a win-win situation for them. Win it, they've achieved what no other England team has for decades. Lose, and they've done no worse, and they'll be back to their vast wages soon enough.
