Sir David Attenborough is the definition of an international treasure. Thank you, sir, for continuing to record more and more science programs in that same wonderfully calming voice of yours, no matter the insanity that exists elsewhere around us. Your voice is like a warm, home cooked meal. Always feels right and comfortable.

96 years old and going strong. Thank you Sir David.

I went through a period of really bad panic attacks/anxiety and David Attenborough/nature docs really helped me through that time. It is calming but still interesting enough to keep your mind engaged.

I can't believe I've never heard of this plant before! One that can spontaneously combust?! This is what I love about nature, you think you've seen everything, then you discover something new and amazing! Natures ability to amaze people is what keeps me coming back.
  • I can listen to Sir David Attenborough's voice for like hours straight. It looks like The nature chooses him to represent its concern to the World.
  • While watching the pitcher plant section i kept wondering "why doesnt the fly simply fly away?!" lol

Props to the sound guy that invented the "plant growing" sound effect used on every one of these
  • The other day I found myself watching another of his plant documentaries without even realising I was there for hours just calmed and charmed by his amazing voice calmly and clearly explaining stuff.....Such a wonderful man
  • My guy has his own pitcher plant that he has been growing for two years now. It is so interesting and really cool to watch grow!

Imagine how terrifying human hunting carnivorous plants would be? Like falling into a pitcher plant that you cant climb out of or trapped in a venus fly traps jaws.
  • Sir David Attenborough is the perfect nap time tv voice. He’s my version of Bob Ross 🙌🏻🤩 can’t believe he is doing this STILL at 95 years old!

Those leaf growing sounds will haunt me forever now...

There’s a group of ppl in this world that have the pleasure of being lucky enough to have Sir David in our entire lives. I’m 39 and remember being very very little listening to him while my dad and brothers watched a documentary.

5:53 I have the same plant (Titan Arum) in my yard, also not all the plants of titan bud as a flower as shown in this video but all of them definitely have leaves. Actually the roots of that plant are gigantic and it’s edible as a vegetable, when cooked properly it tastes delicious.
  • A self combusting plant now that’s fascinating! It’s like something right out of a video game or from an alien planet like pandora.
  • Plant with ability to create fire before humans could...😳🔥
