I really attempted mixed media with this piece, but I regret doing the background! Should I try this challenge again? 👀💙
-
Fun fact: your supposed to put water in the markers to make them work, thats why you can take the bottoms off
-
I'd love to see a side by side comparison of your favorite products against this case. You did amazing for the tools you had! 💙
-
Remembering myself when I was a child being excited having this. until this day I still don't know what's that small bottle for. And it smells awful 😭
-
I feel so nostalgic watching you open that children’s art set! My grandma used to get me these kits when I was younger and was my gateway to art. But man, I was screaming with those first layers of markers! 😅 those markers just rip up the paper, gunk up and bleed. And those watercolors 💀

An oil pastel video would be great!!!! Its something I want to learn and experiment with too!!
-
I enjoy oil pastels! In my experience, the type of paper really matters and you can usually get good results with budget pastels. paper has to have some texture/ grit to it otherwise they will not blend at all and stay streaky. Brown paper bags work nicely. I'd love to see a video with you trying them out!

It’s nice to have you back! I’ve been using your sketch transfer technique for a while now, I almost forgot I learned it from you. It’s so helpful. It takes away the fear of messing up the sketch in the coloring stage. I can go for it, knowing that I can always just try again with a “copy” of the original sketch. Yes, I’d love to see you try oil pastels.

As a kid i use to lick the hell out of the marker tips praying for some ink 😂😂
-
That crappy brush brought me back to my childhood... all the dollar store art sets had it. Pretty sure that was what put me off painting for 10 years
-
seeing those markers takes me back 😬 crazy seeing them actually work!? I only ever remember them being dry as anything 😂
-
People might disagree, but you could make art with anything.
-
Girl that looks great! I must admit I was quite surprised with how well some of the supplies worked. Those watercolours and that brush though- 😂 It be looking like my crappy mascara and eyeshadow palate 😭 You should definitely try this challenge again in the future! Keep it going Temi 💙

I’d love to see a full oil pastel video, they’re my favorite medium!! From my experience it really comes down to the paper you have, even crayola oil pastels work very well on the right type of paper.
-
would love to see you try this again with your professional supplies. also an all oil pastel would be awesome! ❤
-
I don’t think I could have made something that good with those supplies:) and also you and a handful of other have inspired me so much!!! I even started a art channel!!!❤
-
i used to use one of these all the time at my grandparents, it was a winnie the pooh one and i loved it. i hated those brushes even then though and the way you used it lmao, i genuinely have no clue what those brushes are good for
-
for oil pastels, i put a bit of baby oil on a cotton bud then lightly rub over the oil pastels in little circles. works the best for blending colours together but you need really thick paper for it
-
I can feel the dryness of those markers in my bones but it really made you feel like an artist.
