I remember a time when a season of a tv show came out a few months after the prior season, there was a timeline, a set frame for episodes, now you can wait years between seasons, it's freakin' crazy. I think I really started noticing it during the first few seasons of The Walking Dead, a season would end in January and pick up again in October, run for 3 months then hold for 9 months. On top of that we get 6 to 12 episodes of most shows rather than the 23 or more episodes most shows ran in the 80s, for instance Twisted Metal got 10 episodes in season 1, The Last Of Us got 9 and the last episode aired in March 2023 while season 2 is scheduled for 2025...seriously, 202freaking5!?!? It might not air until 2026, who's going to remember the show is even being produced by then? Some series only run 1 season of 6 episodes, looking at you MCU. It's bloody insane.
