Predicting which cars will sell and which won't often feels like a guessing game. Despite having numerous market analysts, automakers still make mistakes, especially in these unpredictable economic times. When they miscalculate, dealerships get stuck with unwanted cars.

The Market Day Supply is a straightforward metric that shows how over or undersupplied a particular model is by indicating how many days it would take to sell out. Using CarEdge Data, we've identified the new vehicles causing dealers headaches as they accumulate on lots with little chance of being sold soon.

I don’t want a car with a huge screen on the top of the center and no physical controls for climate. Will be keeping my 2013 and 2014.

Here I am with my 2020 Camry LE (bought new) MSRP around $26K...paid around 23K thru Costco...watching numerous videos of outrageously overpriced and low-quality cars. Wow...what a world we now live in!

People making bad choices in vehicles. My sister just bought a new Kia seltos plagued with problems . Towed 2 times 8k miles . I bought used 2018 lexus with 89K 2 years ago now with 149k . Not a single issues for $5000 less than her seltos

I never even heard of most of these vehicles. No wonder they aren’t selling. No promotion, no sales.

None of these cars are even on my consideration list.

If I won the lottery with a million dollars, I would buy a cheap Toyota Corolla hybrid. 😂

The last Jeep I owned was a '75 CJ5. Recent years have seen foreign ownership of the company and a drop in the quality of Jeep products. Sad.

Wanted a challenger but was a bit over priced, so looked into charger which was a bit over priced. Unless it was base model which wasnt worth the price and not what i wanted. Just want american muscle with a naturally aspirated engine at a reasonable price tag which wasn't an option.
  • Stellantis is delusional if they think sane customers are going to pay these ridiculous prices. The stealerships still won't lower prices. Imagine a year supply

I did notice that the EVs are on the list they aren't selling because nobody wants them
  • These car makers throw models out there hoping people will buy them. Instead of building vehicles that people actually want or need. If something costs $100K why would they be scratching their heads wondering why they aren't selling.

The Dodge Hornet would sell like hell with lowered price down to 30-32.000 $.
  • Let us be honest and realistic concerning the car industry _ with all the advances in technology * they could easily come up with something more appropriate for the community as means of transportation _ is not just the vehicle itself but the costs of insurance and maintenance are sincerely unable to afford _ plus the fact that vehicles are created with a short life span that you need to keep fixing time after time _ overall : the collapse of the car industry as we see is imminent also in part because of greed 😮

the sales numbers of all of these cars are hampered by a common element: price. As far as the ZDX goes, it is a kissing cousin to the Cadillac Lyriq. Not sure if that is part of the equation but the people I know that would buy a Honda or Acura would shy away from a GM product due to reliability.
  • People with typical incomes simply can't consider these vehicles, both because of initial costs and additional costs for maintenance of these very complex cars and trucks, and now, suddenly, insurance!!
  • My older cars are actually better than the highly overpriced cars on dealers lots today. I take very good care of my vehicles, with regular fluid changes and high quality maintenance. My used cars ride better and are quieter.
