Actually getting in the trenches and seeing how hard it is to put together a game is a very humbling experience.

Easy Red 2 is so good, a love letter to the early ww2 shooters long forgotten.

As one of the people who worked on this nice little game I'm glad to see you grew a bit as a person. You did some damage back then and it's good to see you're reflecting a bit on your past work. Being a critic is easy. Making games is damn hard.

3:08 .... you have things like calling for artillery, calling for aritllery smoke screen, calling for tank support, destructible buildings, armored vechicles, tanks, planes, whole inventory system, ability to drag wounded soldiers, as a medic you can heal ( and you have 3 types of wounds) as a radio operator you have to give coordinates to artillery strikes (if you give wrong coordinates you could bomb yourself) you can play as artillery man... this basic shooter have more features than some AAA games

The devs have done really good at making huge improvements since 2020. Like holy shit it's like seeing a person slowly grow up and develop over time. Improving animations, less jank, added content, adding basic workshop capabilities, improved optimization while simultaneously adding some improvements to graphics, better UI, weapons feel better, more voice acting etc. I feel that as long as this game keeps getting support and the devs keep up the pace, it'll eventually turn into something HUGE. Especially if they manage to add better modding tools.

I am really happy how this game turned out. i remember playing when it came out and how I was disappointed. I started playing recently and wow it is amazing, I even bought the stalingrad DLC lol

Just found this game thanks to you. Maxed out everything, minimum hud. Couple buddies on a custom server running some sweet missions for hours. This game has scratched a itch I've had for years.

It's cool to see you come back to this game again. I still play it, and it honestly does a lot of good stuff. Really fun game for what it is. They try their best and honestly have a lot of features and little details that I wish triple A games had, and they do it with a small budget.

Easy red 2 is amazing and worth every penny, just buy the game and dlc, you won’t regret it. Just change the plane controls, you thank me later

Im really glad to see that you went back to this game. Its honestly just getting better and better imo. There is some jank but you do get used to it

Basic ai is an understatement. I havent seen a better ai with pathfinding in any battlefieldesqe game before this game

I love the idea of you going back to games you heavily criticized in the past now that you've been working on Transience for a while. Not that it somehow makes the games better, but it's just cool to hear your new perspective and whether or not the game has improved with time.

I bought the first easy red game many years ago as just a fun little $2 game and enjoyed some laughs. I hope they continue to develop easy red 2 and make it a more stable and enjoyable game

BigFry...just do what makes you happy and create the best game you can with what seems to be an awesome team. People as you know are always gonna hate...I like seeing someone going after their dream ( even with the headaches of it all ) as I never got the chance myself, and I do want anyone to be like me. ( someone who missed all their dreams of competing at a high level and also learned way too late what I love and was not in a position to do anything about it. I for one will be following your progress closely.
