Honest opinion, the reason this song is so great... Is because you literally can listen to it in any mood and it's still as much as a bop as it was when you first heard it.

Not sure how much I understood the lyrics, but kinda sounds like the story is of someone who abandoned/left behind friends and maybe a loved one in pursuit of their singing career, and now that they have their singing career, they wonder if it was worth it and thinking back onto the past/waiting for the person she left behind. Considering its a song she considered not releasing because its almost too personal for her, it does make you wonder.
