perhaps its because of the lens I'm viewing this through but god damn, this is such a powerful anti-suicide message. 'stay awake, don't fall asleep. the way is long and the gloom is deep'. for me, the recurring phrase 'tainted by fate' felt like it meant 'succumbing to your fate'. taking the bad hand dealt to you and going along with it to a terrible end. its urging you to not let yourself be pushed. yes, its hard and its going to get darker before it gets better but there's still some embers left so the fires not out yet. the lyrics in latin being sung by children is what hits me so hard. they sing about how, if you keep pushing, you wont be controlled and your fate wont be designed by other people. how, one day, looking back on it all, you'll find that those experiences forced you to grow and without them you'd never be you. and the fact that they are children hints that these painful experiences happened when the singer was a kid. stellar work to all the people involved in making this, never fails to make me emotional

I'm so happy that Curley G gets to sing Genshin's first english song. She has so much talents and this looks promising for her future as Hoyoverse likes to feature amazing and reknown artists as Zhou Shen and Tia Ray. My girl is an amazing singer despite her young age and deserve all the fame !
