Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria, is a bustling metropolis known for its vibrant energy. Situated along the Atlantic Ocean, it boasts stunning beaches and a diverse culinary scene. Today, I experience its lively markets for the first time. Now I'm not gonna lie, you'll see in this video that I've encountered many moments of intensity, specifically when some of the locals approached me asking for money. It was a stark reminder of the economic disparities that exist in this dynamic city, and I'll share with you how I navigated these encounters with the utmost respect and understanding.

Despite these moments, Lagos stole a piece of my heart with its warmth, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Join me as I navigate through the colorful markets, intense interactions, while immersing myself in the rhythmic beats of Afrobeat music pulsating through the air.

I cannot imagine how stressful it is with all those aggressive interactions. Even the friendly people it's all high energy. You handle it well.
  • Mohammed was really helpful.. a true representation of what a Nigerian is and should be. . composed, enlightened and comtempt

As a Nigerian I don't like to see my people act stupidly especially to strangers. I'm glad you met some good people ❤
  • You’re getting much better at standing your ground, & it makes for more realistic experiences. Well done lad, be safe.
  • I like the "I am from Nigeria" responses whenever he asked "Are you from Lagos?". ❤
  • @SA-do9fs
The guy in white trying to extort you are symptomatic of a deeper issues we deal with in Nigeria glad you stood your ground
  • @adeadeyemi3976
This guy really tried, as a Nigerian myself, i hardly go to this area or part of Lagos. Thumb up for you mate 💪
  • Giving that northern shoe repairer an increase from his due of N100 to N5000 is a FANTASTIC LOT. AND THAT IS QUITE VERY GENEROUS OF YOU. Cheers.

19:37 The lady was saying that if you gave out money to everyone then you wouldn’t have any left for yourself. She wasn’t saying give money, she was saying don’t give money. ☺️👍
  • @Uloma2024
5k . That's very nice of you . I like the fact that the shoe maker was honest regardless of the fact that u were a foreigner. Nice one
  • @mCblue79
Must be exhausting being constantly harassed for money. You're far more patient than I'd be mate 👍🙂🇦🇺
  • Dude is supposed to have a guide! Lol. Like those touts getting too close for comfort at the end of the video, the presence of someone who knows things will deter them.
  • @giannishen
What I said in the last episode is correct, you are a witty and humorous person, so you can handle those conflicts and embarrassments calmly! Your videos are of great help in marketing this country! Thank you for introducing Nigeria, a country we are not familiar with! Hope you keep up the good work and stay positive! 👍😍🙏

Hi Harry little correction Lagos is not the capital of Nigeria, Abuja is. And glad you stood your grounds with those thugs who keep asking for money. And I must say I love how u able to discern nice people and you tip them with out being coerced into giving them money. Truly a standup guy. I have enjoyed ur originality. 🇳🇬🇳🇬

  • @NoorKhan-zu3yn
Hats off to you for standing your ground, nice of you keep saying people are so friendly on video when in reality all we can see as a audience is people trying to take your money. Alot of poverty in Nigeria 🇳🇬 I hope the government gets better for the people who live there
