As much as I love the Great State of Louisiana, it sickens me that state leaders sit on their laurels and watch the state collapse. Louisiana has so much potential with its resources, culture, and people.

I was born in Louisiana

Horror story behind the name Bâton rouge. We know that this city is in Louisiana, former French colonial territory during the reign of Louis XIV. Bâton rouge is french word which means red staff or red mace. What's the real meaning of red staff or mace ? Louis XIV reigned with absolute power. No one didn't dare to resist him. If not, he or she would be subdued violently and cruelly with his royal forces. The mace was the main weapon for crashing protesting people until it's turned into red with human blood. That's why it's called red mace or red staff which says in French Bâton rouge.

Baton Rouge sucks downtown been the same since the sixties no building is taller than the capital. High crime bad schools, bad infrastructure, racist, no place to hang out, ignorant people, half the city is hood, no real entertainment outside of football season, no expansion, instead of expanding they keep building in places where stuff was already at. I wouldn't move here if I could and I'd move if I could.
