this could pass as a Love Death + Robots episode!

WoW! Aaron Sims Creative has made quite the impact in visual effects for many years now. Extreme talent and incredible synergy does not even begin to describe these phenoms.
-
This video was posted on YouTube in 2021 or 2022, a short film by special effects team. They never mentioned UE5 at all but more of their own CGI animation

I agree with other comments that this is an outstanding creative achievement! Even the CGI ship seemed to have weight and was given time to move through the shot, rather than being flung around. The whole thing PROVES desktop film making of the highest order is now here, given the right skills / talent. Based on the 6 weeks required to make 8 mins, both a feature project by the team and a feature made by "traditional" film making methods would take about the same amount of time to make. Just that these guys would do it ON THEIR COM-PU-TOR for about 1000th the cost, yet could still achieve a better quality story and experience than most modern blockbusters? Here's to EVERY creator with a cinematic vision having the tools to bring their gifts to the world!

Outstanding work!! I’d go see a full length version of this in the cinema any day!!!

This story - go somewhere find a derelict/crashed ship, crew and later figure out it's you - has been done to death in probably tens of movies, but I have to agree it's very well executed here.

Wow! This was fantastic! The story, the look, the action. I was on the edge of my seat! Thank you!
-
Stellar! This was more realistic than some of the Hollywood stuff. Although solo exploration is a bit "iffy"...the presentation is spot on. A beautiful team effort...Kudos.

This feels like a Love Death And Robots episode
-
Very well done! I usually don't go for CGI flicks but I watched the whole thing and it was fantastic!
-
Great short! It looked like it was live action. I want a sequel.
-
Loved it , it was fantastic kept me on edge , very realistic .
-
Better story, art and direction than the last three Star Wars , Aliens or Terminator films. Great job.
-
Impressive work by Aaron Sims and his team.
-
incredible work. Congratulations all around!
-
This is gonna be sick! Cant wait
-
Well done, great to watch, and real writing! Reminded me of an old Twilight Zone episode where a spaceship investigated a crash only to findout it is them.
-
Amazing story and graphics. Congrats to the developer team.
-

I clicked the "Like" button sometime during the first 30 seconds of this upload. CGI movies have a future, with this level of realism they are the future.
