Wonderful rugby talk here ...love it.I am just back from NZ loved your country.I was out touring the south Island, lots of chat about our team Ireland. Kiwi rugby knowledge is outstanding... keep it up lads. Emerald Isle watching.

You guys failed to mention Ireland were down to 14 men second half and Ireland were held up over the try line before the drop goal.

Irish supporter here. Thanks for the analysis . Looking forward to AB visit to Dublin in November.

Bryn Hall is an awesome pundit. My two favs are Bryn Hall and Schalk Burger. These lads know their rugby! Always top notch analysis.
  • What opportunities did SA in the first half? Was I watching a different game? For me, Ireland and SA are joint best, even though I don't really care. As it can't be measured that objectively. However, SA do feel very one dimensional to me, and have rode their luck with the ref in the World Cup and these last two games.
  • @LeMerch
Saying South Africa lost that second test and not Ireland winning it even tho they led the game for most of it.. and then came back with two whopper drop goals is WILD 😂
  • @MarcoV_dj
The two games VS Ireland was so close, games won/loss by slightest margins, these two teams are way ahead than the rest. Both teams were trying out new styles and strategies, they only going to get better. Fafs kicking game was off, we did miss Willie, we're looking forward to the Rugby Championship ☘️🇿🇦💚🏆

SA should have won the game? Er, what? They have nothing but a dominant scrum. They never looked like scoring a try, at home, with an extra player for 10 minutes. Ireland, on the other hand, should have scored at least two more tries. Ringrose just before half time, and when Healy was held up over the line.
  • @vincentc1454
What’s he talking about referring to SA 1st half chances? They were absolutely outdone in the 1st half. Ireland should have been an extra 4 ahead but ringrose untypically let it slip.
  • @amcmartin
Love this podcast. It's like a sausage sizzle for the mind.
  • South Africa lost the game? Ireland could have scored a try instead of a penalty only for Ringrose dropping it which would have resulted in an even bigger half time lead. TMO helped big time in the first test as well and only won by 7. At home and against a depleted Ireland side I think its fair to say that Ireland at least has the better of SA whether you want to call them the best or not. If I'm honest I actually think France would probably still have something to say about the worlds best, NZ too.
  • What opportunities did SA have in the first half, SA never looked like scoring a try.
  • @CF-lg8jd
The only gripe with all this was this number 1 chatter, no one cares. The other thing with the last game, Ireland should of been 20 up at half time, so if you're going to say SA should of won on 2nd half you kinda of need to look at 1st half as well

The service Dmac got from Christie is 1 of the main reasons our kicking was nowhere and our back line could not get any room. The change was not only BB but Ratima getting that ball there quick. Christie is not up to par for an international halfback. ALB also added some guile when he came on.
  • @Lesssvav
I’m going to keep saying this: We should try out a BACKS BOMBSQUAD: the 4/4 bench split. our back 3 are STACKED and we have 80 minute loosies/Locks in Scott, Papalii, Ardie. Also, Beaudy proved how effective a quick/explosive skilled player is on tired opposition.. The bench should be Beaudy, Rieko, Caleb. The most speedy, explosive …. just Imagine how impactful these 3 would be, and the dynamic they would add in the 2nd 40.
  • @amcmartin
How about Beauden, eh? Not often you see a bench player making a man of the match performance.
  • Why does the 1st 5 have to kick? Damian is a good kicker but if we are wanting Jordie to kick long range goals for us would it not make more sense to give him time in saddle both during a game where he needs to kick at the end and also across all games for the ABs, to help deal with pressure?
  • @Dilmahkana
Our 9. 10, 12 need more variation in their kicking. Ireland are a very well-oiled machine made to look super talented. The tightly continuous coaching team, Schmidt (made them an oiled machine), and Farrell (made that look super slick and talented) have been unbelievable, and it's hard to replicate that time and system, and therefore result. We can't imagine we'd be the same. 9s telegraph their box kicks usually, can we work a way to use blockers for the 9 in phase play for more innovative kicks in an attempt to address rush defence? Yes, Jordie can bust it up the guts but we're also just seeing him get walloped sometimes. Vary it up. Can the 10 or 12 or kicking wing be tight to 9 and kick close to where the rush defence start from? If you're the D and they kick to where you just were, maybe you'll be slightly hesitating or subsequently looking in the wrong areas?

all black disciple was outstanding again. no one is taking about yellow cards or dumb penalties. also England run out of puff with 20 to go. so kicking deeper meant the England team had to do a lot more running which maybe lead to them to runout of puff. but if the line outs start working and the passers start going to hand lookout.
