The youngest MMA fighter from Manipur, Korouhenba Urungpurel shined at the Warrior’s Dream Series MMA event which was held in Pune last day.

Korouhenba, who represented RMX MMA Manipur gym, trains under Indian MMA star and former ONE Championship fighter Roshan Mainam and was the centre of attraction throughout the fight week in Pune. The young fighter who captured the attention of the fans with his mohawk immediately impressed everyone during the weigh-ins with his intensity.

The kid's super fight opened the main card of Warrior’s Dream Series on 23 June 2022 at the Sativ Patil Sports in Pune and ask expected, the fight had the fans excited throughout. The young Manipuri fighter, who came in with the experience of fighting in his home state previously, made quick work of his opponent.

He was on the front foot from the start itself and took down his opponent immediately. Korouhenba then landed punches from the mount before the referee Kushal Vyas stepped in to stop the fight.

Warrior’s Dream Series happened in Pune and the event was hosted by Cobra Thai gym under the guidance of Richard Rozalewicz and is partnered with Fit and Fight Club in Navi Mumbai.

The event was sanctioned by Navi Mumbai Mixed Martial Arts Association (NMMMAA) led by President Sanjivan Padwal. The event was live streamed on the LockerRoom India YouTube channel.

WDS Pune saw more than 120 athletes from across the nation competing in MMA, Kickboxing and BJJ bouts. This was the second event from Warrior’s Dream Series after their initial event in Navi Mumbai.

    As seeing you…Your Coach not only teach you fight but along the side he taught you a true sports men. “Always respect your opponent wether you loose or Win without him (opponent) you can not show your fighting Skills” you hold him high .. Your opponent also learn something from you that winner has always a unique quality. It is very quick finish….lukin forward to see your technical fight in near future.
