What I did notice in this video, is that Jennie is naturally a graceful dancer, thatā€™s where she shines, so it makes since that she instinctively is trying join the movements together with more fluidity rather than with impact, strength, speed and tension.

Jennie dancing style is my favorite. Her moves are so fine
  • @stwrxy._
Jennie doesnā€™t deserve the hate, she does what she can and thatā€™s all that matters!
  • Finally, someone who can legitimately dance recognizing Jennieā€™s dance talent. Her style exudes charisma during their performances. Haters are just gonna hate, as if they can dance after repeated ankle injuries

Just wanted to point a few things out as a long time k-pop fan. Jennie's dance style since debut till now, removing her ankle injury performances, has always been the typical YG dance style. You can see this in Big Bang and 2NE1, even Winner and iKon performances where they don't do the dance 100% or at all. More focused on performance, vocal/rap delivery, hyping up the crowd etc. YG has never been a dance company, that is SM. You can even see this in Jennie's Coachella performance and even recent Pink Venom or Shut Down performance where is she more focused on the rap than doing the dance exactly as seen in practice videos. The funny thing is that this also occurs with other big artists like BTS, EXO, Red Velvet etc especially during concerts. Another thing is, it is so easy to go on youtube and search "so so k-pop group" mistakes on stage and can also see other artists "marking" the dance, forgetting dance moves, etc on music shows to concerts. This also applies to western artists. IDK the hate train this girl gets makes no sense to me

Jennie is really a great dancer when they debuted sheā€™s honestly was one of the best dancer i have ever seen in kpop Jennie charisma & aura will never disappoints Her injury & panic attack ( anxiety ) really took a hit on her but sheā€™s still one of the best performers on stage And her solo dance covers are my favorite i hope she uploads more of them on her YouTube channel
  • Thank you for appreciating Jennie`s dance. She has been called a lazy dancer for years. She is so hardworking this was really needed.
  • @cheidi8557
Yup! After her first injury, it became her habitual injury to the same ankle. She was on crutches for awhile before promoting How You Like That! And also she was injured filming The Idol this year, but she never mentioned about the injury, just didnā€™t want us to worry about her. She has been doing her best to give us the best performance. Iā€™m totally in awe of her! She really deserves our love! šŸ–¤JenniešŸ’–! šŸ’— Btw, I really do appreciate & thx for your reaction! šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ’•

She is actually such a great dancer, people are so mean at her.
  • Jennie's style has always been my favourite. She's so graceful and knows how to reserve her energy considering that she's still singing, wrapping, and hyping up the crowd. She was actually the reason why I became a blink. :)
  • @samk10
BREAK YOUR ANKLES NINE TIMES AND TRY WALKING LET ALONE DANCING. I am just so proud of her performing while taking painkillers and remember when Jennie's fully healthy nobody can match her stage presence and charisma!
  • @eeniemeenie95
Jennie isn't lazy, she just reduces movement in parts her legs when she was experiencing incident during concerts, but she always looks perfect during dance practice.
  • JENNIE moves like water, it's so satisfying to watch. She has soooo much grace and fluidity! Might actually be my favorite dancer in Blackpink, no lie.

You have no idea how happy I am that someone decided to take the "lazy jennie" scandal from a professional point of view with actual facts and not just useless hate. Jennie has always been an inspiration and her dancing always had such depth into it it felt like it was speaking to me. So what if in some performances she didnā€™t ā€œperfectlyā€ dance? Sheā€™s human and each one of us have a unique amount of energy, stamina, yes even K-Pop idols get tired welcome to reality. You guys absolutely nailed this analysis, after seeing so much hate dragging her down for years on end, itā€™s so refreshing to appreciate her improvement, truly thank you from the bottom of my heartšŸ’› Also gotta love those memes, had me burst of laughter multiple timesšŸ˜‚
  • Thanks for appreciating JENNIE She is kind and hard working girl She doesn't deserve any kind of hate or trash words She really is a good dancer, great rapper and singer
  • I'll say it again and again , Jennie will always be my Favorite dancer in Blackpink. I like the way she moves .

I definitely love the Jennie appreciation, cos she is a talented performer and her charisma is unbounding, so it's really great to see you guys reacting to her dance and bigging her up - as she deserves. People are so quick to criticise idol performers and whilst yes, it is their job and they should do it well, they aren't robots and they aren't always gonna be perfect, and that's not a bad thing at all. It's a human thing. It feels a little weird, though, that you bring up the "lazy" thing and then basically don't address it? A lot of that controversy was around stage performances that she did where she wasn't giving as much effort at times, for whatever reason, however valid. I would have really enjoyed seeing you talk about the strain of performing (singing and dancing and acting on stage is a professional sport), why she might have "dropped the ball" sometimes and why that's okay because she's human - or something like that. The fact that we didn't see any direct mention of it feels counterintuitive to how the video was set up? Even if it was just one clip amongst her other very impressive works off stage and in dance practices. But I would also understand if that didn't happen because Steezy peeps want to focus on the dance itself and not on the overall idol aspect, cos that's what you guys do! Nonetheless, really really enjoyed this video - loved seeing Isabel's perspective and personality here, love her to bits, and Clay is a delight as always. Much love!

Jennie's actlly an amazing dancer, she even was the one who thaught rosƩ how to dance first and she's a super talented dancer, but as she wasnt put in the dance line (cuz it would be too INCREDIBLE can u imagine rap+vocal+dance wohoo) so she doesnt rlly show off her dancing but when she WANTS or HAS to she CAN. I love her some much, she's an ACE indeed.
  • Jennie and blackpink is who got me into K-Pop. She has even said in netflix documentary that she gets sick/hurt easily and often. Push through Queen.
