This is my favorite STP song, even as a teenager who didn't quite get it yet. I just watched a sad video of him performing this song a couple of years before his death and it was so disheartening that I searched for this in the 90s and wasn't disappointed. I hate the passing of time. I wish I could just live in the 90s for the rest of my life.

The chorus is so deep, so emotional it could melt anybody's heart. This song is beyond epic.

My god this is epic--and to think the stadium is half empty and they're still playing their hearts out!

holy crap, I can't believe there's a video of this. My friends and I were at this concert... showed up early just to hear these guys. you could barely hear them, it was daylight and nobody was paying attention... Soon enough they became huge!

Still remains has to be one of the most romantic songs ever written and further proves the immense writing and vocal talent Scott weiland possessed. Is there a greater contribution to music than a beautiful love song like this? No way! Thank you Scott ❤️
  • I've watch a lot of old STP from what I think is in their prime (the album purple) and also remember them during that time as a kid. it's kind of crappy people in the media at the time (from what I remember) used to actually shit on them and call them grunge rip offs because their songs were amazing, genius in fact, both lyrically, and as far as guitar riffs. They were well beyond a lot of bands out with so much energy and talent. Even back then I recognized it. It's kind of sad when you watch later stuff because they sort of drifted so far from what they were (like most famous bands eventually do as the years go by) due to the tensions between Scott and the rest of the band, the drugs, probably having played those song 10,000 times and I guess just age. I mean that with no disrespect to them. It happens, none of us stay in our 20s and 30s forever and playing the same shit gets old, but you have to admit watching them in this part of their careers is pretty magical. Still one of my favorite bands of all time no matter what though.

One of my top 3 STP tracks. Love this hidden gem and so glad it wasn't released as a single. Only true STP fans get it, not the fairweathered fans than only know STP's work from the radio

Listen to how absolutely beautiful this song is and how beautiful Scott's voice sounds.  It's beyond a pity that the seats are half-empty.

Looks like you had to sneak the camera in. Thanks for risking it to bring us a piece of rock history! ❤

‘if you should die before me ask if you can bring a friend’ 😢 one of the best lyrics i’ve ever heard

My favorite STP song of all times! The only band I was truly obsessed with as a teenager was STP!

If you should die before me, ask if you could bring a friend...

Seriously, Scott Weiland had so much stage presence you couldn't mistake him for anyone else. And they were opening for Rolling Stones. Sometimes I think it should've been the other way around.
