I'd like to thank you for reacting to this song. Reactors typically react to the same 5 Simon and Garfunkel songs over and over and over, ignoring the bulk of their best work. This masterpiece has been largely ignored by YouTube. My hat's off to you for having the brains and the guts to go your own way.

Hiding in my room Safe within my womb I touch no one and no one touches me" I lived that way for many many years. And it's so easy to fall back into that hole.

Paul Simon was one of the best songwriters of the 20th century, and Artie Garfunkel had the voice of an angel. It is why their music is still as fresh as ever.

One of their most overlooked songs: "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her" One of the perhaps five most beautiful songs ever written.

I was a very shy introverted child who grew up in a dirt-poor dysfunctional household. Didn't help that I was a geeky, nonathletic kid with glasses and with my nose in a book or head off in a daydream. So, I was often either ignored or bullied by the other kids. This song came out when I was a child and quickly became "my song." Though life hasn't gotten much easier over the years at least my head is in a lot better place and have been blessed with friends that care and most of all two loving sons, still this song holds a special place in my heart. It got me through some rough times.
