With a multi-billion dollar industry in India, skin bleaching is very common among the Indian population. But how are people with fair skin treated in India? Do they get preferential treatment? We hit the streets of Mumbai to find out.

The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Indian population.

Special thanks to our Asian Boss team in Mumbai.

Brown-skinned people want to be whiter. White-skinned people want to be darker. Curly-haired people want straight hair. Straight haired people curl their hair. Just love who you are!

Yesterday I saw a reel where a dark skinned guy got married to a light skinned girl and then I went to the comments section and oh boy... The amount of people with comments like "ye ladka aisi ladki deserve nhi karta" "ye ladki iss kaale ladke se Kyu Shaadi Kar Rahi hai" I saw was truly sad.
