Unlike the other colored sticks, Orange was created as "The Second Coming". Basically the successor of The Chosen One which is why he had the potential to be just as powerful or in this case even more powerful than the original Chosen One.

If you're wondering why the original red stick figure is evil, that's because Alan programed it as the Dark Lord as well as created it to defeat the original stick figure/Chosen One. Also the orange stick figure/The Second Coming is basically every Shonen protagonist.

The lore of the hollow-head stickmen is actually incredibly deep. And I'm pretty sure Alex's friend from one of the first animations was the one who created Purple. That would be a reason as to why he's a great fighter, coder and many more. He's just a mash-up of all of Alex's stickmen.
