very nice! my only gripe would be the quick release is cumbersome. i am sure you could design a single cam lock lever that operates both sides of the quick release nut!

Gluing in a piece of metal tubing(copper water-pipe would work in the right dimension) on each side for the allthread to slide in rather than sawing through the print-plastic may be an idea...
