Back in 2017 the Brave Wilderness crew grabbed their popcorn, sat back, and watch the show. Now, it's time to return to the return to bug theatre!

What’s a bug theatre you might ask? A bug theatre is a common name for an insect “light trap”, where a screen is illuminated at night to attract all sorts of creepy crawlies and bizarre insect species. It is a common practice used by field entomologists around the world!

HUGE THANKS to the Bio Sur Foundation for leading this adventure. Their mission is to protect the endangered wildlife of Costa Rica by creating rainforest reserves through land acquisitions, environmental education of the local population, and engagement with national and international partners. I love the way Jim said "Coyoteee!" When the bug beetle hit the screen. The pure happiness of wanting his friend to see something he thought was so cool was awesome.

Their smiles when just talking about insects and this Elephant beetle makes me smile also. This is what true passion for something looks like and I love it.

As a person who is terrified of bugs, this is actually quite fascinating

These are all so incredible. I wish bugs didn't give me the creeps, but with shows like this, I get to with out actually needing to be there.
  • @kikiasakura
The fact Coyote got so excited about the beetle and was like “I don’t know what that means but that’s so exciting!” was adorable. I love the fact he was just as excited about Jim and supported him even though he had no idea what type of bug that was.
  • I loved how all of the sudden the blanket just rumbled and a lot of insects were knocked off of it hahahahahaha the giant appeared. Cheers, love and hugs from Mexico, I love y'all 🖤🇲🇽
