  • idk if anyone commented this but the 20-30 different fruits and veggie study also included whole grains, legumes, lentils, and spices :)

Becky! The placenta gets biopsied to check for any issues that Henry could have later. So if the placenta ever had an infection or there was an issue with blood flow then you know to watch Henry for some specific issues later so they can be diagnosed and dealt with earlier than if you didn't know. Sometimes it's standard procedure in a hospital but it's probably cause he was a preemie and they're just being super cautious.

Mother's Day when I was a kid, both sets of grandparents & us went out for a meal. That one no one cooks and everyone was able to see each other.

My mil is amazing. My mother not so forgiving. As a mom in the trenches, I get it. When my kids have children, on Mother's day I will celebrate them and show support to them as I understand how difficult motherhood is. Welcome to club, I'm here for you.

We Japanese eat Tofu raw. Super normal. Soft silky tofu with scallion, ginger and soy sauce is a common Japanese dish. It's so hard to find good tofu in north america though. I miss good quality tofu so much.

My son absolutely only tried hot dogs after seeing Mickey Mouse eat them so Becky is definitely onto something 😂

Our rule is mom's with under 18 is priority and over 18 is up to you. We try to get everyone (all in laws included) in one place when we do something.

There is Grandparents’ Day. It’s in September. There’s also Grandmother’s Day (October) & Grandfather’s Day (January). To me, a “mom in the trenches” is every mom. All stages of parenting are hard, yet rewarding, in their own ways. If I become a grandma, my focus on Mother’s Day will the mother(s) of my grandkid(s).

I had a neighbor post on Nextdoor that “a person” was eating her pumpkins that were on her porch in October 2022. She posted pictures and it was clear a squirrel was the culprit, and no matter what anyone else said, she was ADAMANT that it was a person nibbling on her pumpkins.

just wanted to say the person you talk about in the beginning of the episode who makes the “the craziest thing about being creative” videos actually uses they/them pronouns :)

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷. I think it makes sense mothers who have children in their home still need a little more care than mothers with no children in the home/adult children but 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's pretty normal for placentas to get sent off for testing after birth but I don't know why they didn't just tell you that to begin with. It's to check for a few things sometimes but not abnormal. Wild they didn't tell you out right or put that on your bill
  • We lived over five hours away from both grandparents and our kids were their only grandchildren. We would just celebrate whenever we could. We just moved a hour away, unfortunately my parents have both passed. This year we did Mother’s Day the day before at my in-laws.
