Absolutely do up those videos teaching the needy generation how to plan and cook. Those lessons are missing from so many families, and just think of how many can do a search and find your videos for years and years to come. My daughter is teacher and I get lots of hints from her of what's missing in the kids lives. I sent in pies for pi day and she was shocked at how many kids had never eaten homemade pie before. That all started because I canned up more pie filling than we needed. One little event can spur the thinking process, that's for sure. I love your style in your videos. There's no judgement, no bossiness, just you being you, sharing your knowledge with so much love.

Yes would love videos on food planning and streching budget .

Your flowers are beautiful & your rhubarb is healthy & happy. You're so Blessed with a beautiful place to live & grow your own food. The Community Garden will surely bless many with its abundance. Hat's off to the three gentleman that do this great labor of love. It's great to know you'll be getting the weekly veggie boxes. I enjoyed seeing them last year. I was raised like you Renee, with stretching meat & other ingredients to feed the family more than once. My Mom imparted thrift, excellent cooking skills, real budgeting & hard work into us all & I'm forever grateful to her. Her little Presto pressure cooker tamed the toughest cuts of meat into delicious, fork tender dishes. Mega couponing was available then & she took advantage of every one that her family needed. Your skills are needed Renee & you're an excellent teacher. There's a huge amount of people that don't know even the basics of cooking, canning, thrift & even how to budget & stick to it. Thanks for all you do from your kind & generous heart. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday & have a Blessed new week ahead 🙏🏻❤️

Hi Renee! Your property looks amazing & those white lilacs are extraordinary. The church garden is wonderful & is so helpful to so many. The price of food is out of control especially for young families. My son also has two children & his wife & I was shocked to hear their weekly food total. I try canning for both houses to help somewhat & the prices don’t make that easy. All we can do is our best & keep praying for some reprieve. Thank you for a great video.
  • First of all, you have a gorges property, so well planned and so green now! Thanks for showing it to us. I do agree with you about the cost of food now days. If we can, we should adopt a young family and help them out by giving them some garden items not $ and recipes to encourage them to cook economical and so not to do the fast food. To make sure they have a crock pot to help make dinner while mom is at work. God bless you for speaking out for this concern. We can add it to our Daly prayers. For God to help the people who are having trouble stretching their $ for vitamin rich good food for them and/or their families. I love to watch all of your video! Thanks for the information on the low sugar jams and not to add the rubato pulp to the jam or juice. This saves me a lot or effort/time/ $ /electricity. We value you experienced canners you help us do much!! So not to use the low sugar recipes making jams? Or not to use the Pamona’s pectin jams for keeping them over 1 year ? Can you show us your canning pantry? And tell us more of your canning recipes ? In case we want you to do a video on it?
  • Great content today. I too have family that can't afford to buy groceries. I can up anything I can to help them. When I see bargains at the store and buy for them. My budget is pretty open to help them. Garden is big and planted. God has a blessing for us, all we have to do is help others, give it away.

Hi Renee! I had a beautiful purple lilac and it got cut down by the lawnmower guy, I wasn’t happy. Your white lilac is so pretty. The church garden looks awesome. I love kilt lettuce and onions, so good with a bowl of beans, fried potatoes and cornbread. I’m getting ready to can ham and great northern beans, so delicious. Good canning plan. I worry about my daughter with the way grocery prices are too. I think the depression era taught a lot of older people to cook. Planning meals should help a lot of people. Have a blessed evening sweet lady!
  • @sgmarr
Happy Sunday ❤ Love your yard! I have lilacs but not white. Nice about your veggie Availability. I have Community Share Boxes, but the Price is too high for me to Sign Up. And I can't grow a garden. So. Canada's Prices are Higher right from the start. Coupons are extinct now. Times have Changed.

My.mom cooked like your mom, I still do that. Make more meals out of that one roast. I'm sure lots of people chill benefit from these ideas.
  • that is why I did freezer cleanout and do pantry weeks these groceries are killing these young families I know my son has 2 kids and his wife and it is so much for them
  • @lori3488
Your yard is so pretty with all those beautiful trees! I just purchased some Mrs Wages today also. Your right Renee, the price of groceries are so expensive! I’m looking forward to your canning videos 😊
  • Groceries are getting insane 😔 Some of the ways I have found to save money is to use homemade "paper" towels that can be reused after washing. I also saved a ton of money by getting the generic laundry soap sheets. They work great. Also dryer sheets are not necessary for soft dryer dried clothes. (Plus the residue in the dryer sheets builds up in the dryer and causes it to die faster) Stretching meals is a great thing to teach younger families. We older moms know how to make do but the younger generations don't know a whole lot about stretching that quarter 😊.
  • I buy what I need in the off season when no one is thinking about it, so I understand buying your Mrs. Wages packets now. I live on a cattle farm and I occasionally deal with manure smells😂. Your place looks beautiful!
  • @lisapop5219
I have some of the dollar tree stackable planters with herbs on the front porch. I have had to rotate out a few things that were not doing well (basil & oregano) . The part that I like is that we have it on a table and so far, the slugs haven't found them.
  • Enjoyed ur video & sharing. Food Preparadness is absolutely necessary. I feel bad for families w sm children. It's important to really determine btw needs & material wants. Yes plz do a video that u spoke about at end of this video. I grew up similar to u. My mom made a duf meal w the leftovers. Sometimes it wz a really delicious pot of soup 😀♥️👍

I'm making canned baked beans, in the canner now. I should have soaked enough to make a double batch. I want to get some black beans done up too. I haven't seen or heard of any kind of church gardens where I am. Weird.
  • The cost of food is out of control. I got two regular bags of groceries for $107! Thankfully, I have built a pantry that supplies the majority of the foods we eat. I can't imagine how people get by without a stocked pantry nowadays.
