  • I have thier Wicked Tooth Bar on my 3039R. I did have to wait on it for a while. I am glad I got it when I did.
  • Brock, they are located a few miles from were I live. Their facility is a massive size building. The Corriher family had been in the tractor business for years in downtown Newton, NC. I bought a tractor from them about 15 years ago. They do have legal problems and I hope they can resolve it.
  • A number of years ago i bought a grapple. Paid up front, waited 4 months and it showed up. I still love it. Made great products, i hope they can reorganize.

At this point I wouldn't give them a red cent until the impliment was sitting on my trailer and strapped down.

These small businesses that have a rapid expansion and cannot fulfill orders in a reasonable time should stop taking orders until they catch up. But they are afraid to turn down an order because that customer might not come back when product is available again.

I bought a 72” wicked grapple for my 4720 about 8 years ago, the thing has been flawless, no issues, it got damaged in shipping when I purchased it and EA sent me new hoses and fittings, missing tooth, and also discounted my grapple cause the tack welded tooth wasn’t fully welded, I fixed it myself, customer service was excellent Hopefully they can get their issues fixed and get back to making quality products
  • From experience it is very difficult to scale and grow business while making sure all the T's are crossed and I's are dotted. We do learn from our mistakes.

I would think this is the hard part of a small manufacturing business. You need to have actual emergency funds at all times to cover your customers orders no matter what. It has to include paying your employees to finish your contracts/ orders.

Your honesty is refreshing partly because it is so rare these days! I have a set of pallet forks from EA that were on order for 3 or 4 months. Like you, I hope they succeed because they do make good products, but regaining trust that has been lost is very difficult. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
  • @Hilltop0707
Everything you say is spot on. I purchased a wicked grapple years ago and it’s top notch. I doubt I’d be so forgiving if I hadn’t received it. I hope they recover because they were an unbelievably good company.

I have a 4’ rotary cutter and set of pallet forks from EA. Also a Simca T-56 tiller I bought through them. They were up front about the wait. Great products. Hopefully they get their business kinks worked out.
  • @wardo17
You are dead on with your analysis and what they should do. There products are great as I own several of them. I hope they get through these tough times.
  • Good words Brock! I have their Wicked grapple and love it. I do hope they can survive, we need American manufacturing businesses!
  • @Steve-qk1ev
Good message! I purchased a grapple and forks from EA several years ago, great products. About just over a year after I got the grapple it had a hydraulic hose issue, I simply asked for replacement part numbers to order, they sent the whole hose harness free of charge. I believe Ted is a good guy with good intentions, I feel he had some helpers with streaks of unprofessionalism that wasn’t beneficial to the organization. But who am I to say really, I am not in their shoes. I just want American companies supporting American families building products in the USA to be successful.
  • At a minimum EA is obligated to communicate with pending order clients. It's just the right thing to do.
  • @dustdevl1043
Being upfront and honest is the way to go, most folks tend to make mountains out of mole hills.
  • @BuildALotAcres
Great video Brock. I agree with your points. Hopefully EA can get things sorted out and continue making attachments and fulfill customers orders. I also agree Ted should have notified paying customers what to expect going forward.
  • @bob5817
Great honest video. Too many people don’t get it anymore.
