in case literally anyone cares: the "nihongo jozu" thing. basically the guy's a foreigner, but he's obvs fluent in japanese. usually japanese people will say "nihongo wa jouzu desu" (your japanese is good!) to foreigners who can speak it, but he's saying "bro you don't gotta tell me, i've been living here for 15 years."

"Nihongo jozu" basically means that "you speak Japanese well." The guy ordering coffee said he lived there for 15 years, so he was a foreigner speaking Japanese. Many times when you're a foreigner living here in Japan and speaking Japanese, you'll hear that a lot, regardless of how long you've lived here or how good your Japanese is. That's why he was saying that you don't "need to nihongo jozu me." He's heard it many times already.
