“I like Nintendo”. -Punched in face Accurate

"[The PS3] looks like it's trying it's hardest to look futuristic and expensive" looks at the PS5 in 2020 Huh.

Fun fact, when Scott calls the PS3 a government supercomputer, he isn’t joking. The United States Government actually purchased 1700 PS3s once, as they contained advanced computer parts that would’ve otherwise cost the government $10,000 a pop.

It's odd how whenever Scott brings up this war, he never mentions Minecraft being exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a long time. That sold incredibly well and opened the 360 to a new audience that would buy the console solely for Minecraft. It was the easiest way to play private multiplayer worlds with voice chat and easy inviting. Minecraft was huge for the 360's sales. It also helped massively with Minecraft's success and its eventually purchase by Microsoft

He really used the ARMS theme when he said “Online play was incredibly important” Absolutely dragging Nintendo without even mentioning them for 20 minutes
  • I like how Sony and Microsoft went into a war of attrition while Nintendo blew them out with funny Mii games

This is honestly one of my favorite Scott the Woz episodes, idk why it’s just so good

The 360 technically had a more powerful GPU, but a weaker CPU, so that's why third-party games looked better and PS3 exclusives took advantage of the cell to supplement its GPU.

“Atari was king until they were stupid” That’s deep.....

I love how when Scott hypes up the PS3 at like 6 minutes he starts playing Halo music.

Can't forget how the 360 allowed you to download portions of your physical games so the disc drive had less work load. Can't remember if the ps3 had a similar feature but it's super useful and I still use it to this day.
  • I will never forget that Sony press conference. Genji 2 dev: "The stages of the game will also be based on famous battles that actually took place in ancient Japan". Also Genji 2 dev: "So here's this giant enemy crab"

"5 Consoles entered the ring, One was a runaway success so we don't count that" This was funnier then it should have been

You forgot something very important. Something that made me hate myself for chosing a 360 and envying PS3 owners: Disc count. I still recall the game that scarred me for life: Star Ocean 4. You had to switch discs once you got to the end game and wanted to back track to a city in the beginning of the game. If you were achievement hunting, then you constantly were teleporting between the last area of the game and a city on disc 1. And every time.... you had to get up and change disc. And then it came to PS3... on a single disc

The memories I made playing Halo on Xbox with my pals on live are unforgettable. Also learning all cuss words along the way.

Several things to add to the controller section. There's two different 360 controllers. The wireless model mentioned, but also a hardwired USB model with no wireless. The wireless model is only wireless even with the Play&Charge Kit. Which while USB-A on one end connects to the controller via a proprietary connection. Now non-detachable and proprietary cables weren't a big deal then. However meanwhile the PS3 made standard a controller that worked both wired and wireless with a regular USB port. (And in their and Nintendo's case using standard BT for wireless not a proprietary signal. Yes the most recent Xbox controllers also support BT.)
