Thank you all so much for all the love on this video!! 😍😍😍
  • My girlfriend is like you. She’s anaemic because of her really heavy periods and can really affect her some days. At first it weirded me out a little bit that she wore those kind of diapers sometimes, but I realised how stupid my mindset was cause she can’t help it and it’s just something females just go through. Thank you for educating us on the matter so I can take care of her more efficiently.

I'm so glad you're talking about this normally. Girls are usually taught to be grossed out by their periods, but they're completely normal!
  • @artimisrok313
Some guy asked me why I didn’t just hold my period blood until I went to the restroom and I was like maybe you should have been in the board meeting when the design for women’s bodies was being drawn up, cause mine sure as hell don’t do that

I'm sorry but you had me at "running up your bum crack" 😂 very relatable and thankyou for being so open with all of this! Girls get shy about their periods and its nothing to be ashamed off so thankyou :)
  • @hazelmay3310
Honestly the girls with 2 day light periods are so blessed Girls with 7-9 day periods that are quite or really heavy are so unlucky (I’m in this category)

RIP Amy, no more tubes, no more pain. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us❤️😢

I’m a teacher and I’ve had quite a few girls get their periods in school. It’s amazing that so many don’t know how to deal with it! They don’t know how to put in pads. Their mothers never showed them anything! I’ve explained pads and wings to 9 year olds! My mom explained periods to my sister and I at a very young age. I don’t even remember. So it wasn’t scary when I got it for the first time. I didn’t think I was dying!!!! I buy pads for the girls in my school. I’m not sure if the nurse has them, but she’s a nun and they used to have those really thick pads. Little girls can’t wear them. I have the thin ones with wings. All the upper grade girls know to come to me if they need one. I teach 2nd grade, but I’ll always buy pads for the older girls. I tell the upper grade teachers to send them to me. We go to my desk and I put it discreetly in their sleeves lol! It’s nothing to be ashamed of, but I don’t want to explain pads and periods to 7 year olds lol!!!
  • I wish girls didn't have to have periods seems like such a pain.
  • @kellyrevere
Still not over her passing, I tell myself she’s still here and come here for comfort when I feel weak because she makes me feel strong through her strength
  • Try lining up two of the overnight pads like a choo choo train to prevent those leaks up the back side.
  • @174monkey
Not gonna lie, I'm happy to see this because I started wearing depends to bed about 10 years ago after being annoyed by having to wash bloody sheets all the damn time. I find I sleep better knowing me, my clothes and my sheets are safe from my monthly blood bath.
  • I wear nappies all the time for my period. Doesn’t matter what time of the day, I have to wear there due to how heavy it is. I also have IBS, which can get so bad that I can poop myself. Nappies have saved me so much

I am 67, I had heavy periods when I was young. I wish there had been all these products back then. All we had was Kotex pads and Modess that had a plastic liner. A diaper would have been the greatest thing. Thanks for educating women and girls about this!
  • @EmilyCanham
love love love the fact you're talking about this, Amy!!!
  • *amy showing off her overnight pad me: "WHERE CAN I GET THOSE PADS PLEASE"
  • @annahindle1240
One of my friends in high school had a heavy period for 2 months straight and ended up in the hospital for ages with so many different problems. She was constantly weak, tried and really pale. It's such a shame that we only learn about 5-7 day periods and that's it in school. We need more knowledge of the problems girls could face at such a young age along with them having absolutely no knowledge of what is going on with their bodies and their potentially life-threatening situations. Plus the added embarrassment of talking about their periods with anyone.
