For scientists, these lakes serve as proxies to explore what may come as ocean waters heat up because of climate change. The lakes have environmental conditions that are warmer, more acidic and less oxygenated. Intan Suci Nurhati, climate and ocean researcher at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, see's these ecosystems as “a projection of our future climate." 🔬👨🏽‍🔬
  • Ain't you the sweetest water cauliflowers I have ever seen. So weak and vulnerable. I love them.
  • @isaT
Omg, the water is so clear it looks almost like looking at an aquarium.

"school's don't teach enough!" Terra mater: Fiiiine, ill do it myself.
  • The underwater lake environment looks so pristine and untouched, uncorrupted by any human interference. And the way the Golden Jellies behave like farmers looks so beautiful! I hope that people can see this lake as a standard for all underwater ecosystems

I’ve been to kakaban. One of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life. This comes from a man who have phonophobia of underwater sounds

Ngl, this science channel is pretty decent and horribly underrated. I'm pretty entertained by the place and the information flow, and damn I wish this is how online educational modules would be.
  • What a cool place, I always learn something new from terra Matter videos.
