Tetraodon Abei - Freshwater Puffer Fish - MEAL GONE WRONG :(

I've been collecting pics/vids of Puff enjoying his meals... this is not the intended video.
I've had Puff for 4 days, this was going to be his 3rd. crawfish. The first he destroyed - the second he consumed and this one, albeit, twice the size of the prior two - I wasn't expecting what happened, but I acted fast. He did puff up (not shown in vid - you'll see why). I know it's not good to have your puffer - puff up. This was not planned and/or expected and I guarantee it won't happen again (declaw before).
We are both recovering and doing fine (well, at least Puff is).

What size tank is that? What else do you feed him? Great puffer btw!

OMG of course it's gonna pinch the puffer it's got claws for a reason DUH maybe take off the claws then let the puffer eat it while it's declawed then through in the claws YOU CANT GET MAD AT THE CRAYFISH you are feeding YOUR PUFFER LIVE FOOD
