First look at the Freewell Sherpa smartphone lenses. All testing was done using an iPhone 14 Pro Max and was not scientific. These are compatible with iPhone & Samsung Freewell Sherpa cases. And note - you HAVE to have a Sherpa case to mount the lenses.

I haven't tested it, but is the snow mist filter needed to reduce the sharpening when shooting with the 15 Pro's ProRes? I heard that the sharpening isn't an issue with the 15 ProRes. Thanks! That set is complete!

Any input on deciding between the wide angle between sandmarc and freewell? Would love your insight on using the vnd offerings from both brands as well if you have any.
  • @troycadotte
Have you received the Shiftcam LensUltra case for the 15 Pro Max yet? I am really curious how those lenses will do now with the new iPhone.
  • @LouisLuzuka
Does the 14 pro max case work on the 15 pro max or is it just an issue with the alignment or action button 😮
  • @LouisLuzuka
Will these work on the previous phones with the proper case
  • @anywherenearzero
i have the latest iphone 15 pro SmallRig cage (fits tight to the phone) my question is, will any of these lenses fit to the smallrig case / cage rather than having to buy smallrig lenses ?

Hello, So to mount a variable ND filter to the wide 18mm lens from another brand if i understand correct the way to do it is with a step up ring from 62 to 67mm and then add a 67mm filter? Thx you

So, here we go again! I’m going to get the Beastgrip for my 15 Pro Max, when it comes out (please hurry!). I’m obviously interested in getting new lenses. In the past, lenses were disappointing, even the ones Zeiss briefly made. So other than Beast’s own very good lenses, what are out there that are really good and will fit the adapters that come with the Beastgrip? Is the DOF adapter worth bothering with these days? I’d love to try my Canon RF lenses, particularly the zooms.

The new sherpa lenses are in production stage, they just starting to send they, I got mine and they are just gorgeous and the quality is absolutely worth, they also added a cover for each lease to keep then safe from dust. the only down side id that the filters can't be stacked each others for example combining mist with nd in wide angle lens, if you want that you have to use the magnetic vnd filter made for the phone and you have to use the phone wide angle lens (with has lower quality than the main sensor)

I have a lot of the filters, and as Freewill has said, they are pretty much future proof. I bought them for my iPhone 14, and now I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and they work just fine on the case. I'm looking forward to seeing the telephoto lens, because I get dragged to baseball games on a regular basis 😑 and I would like to take better shots. I'm also looking forward to purchasing the wide angle lens for the same reason! TBH, since I am now retired, I get to see a lot more grandkids activities than I did when I was working and therefore, I am usually designated the "official" photographer. 😊
  • @LouisLuzuka
The pixel 8 pro do you like the ai stuff or the iPhone 15 pro with log is better 😮
  • @kalannash
It will be interesting to see if they can develop a telephoto that works with the 5x telephoto on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Beastgrip has pushed out a video demonstrating that theirs works. Moment and now Sandmarc have shared that their new telephotos are not compatible. I haven’t seen any info regarding Shiftcam’s telephoto. Reeflex is hinting at potential compatibility when they release details of their new G-Series lenses on October 18. I love the Beastgrip tele image using my 13 Pro Max 1x & 3x lenses and the Beastgrip Pro rig. But adding, shifting or taking off the lens and ND filters is challenging in my typical run-and-gun use case.
  • @mdturnerinoz
I have a lot of Freewell gear but will wait for the Beastrgrip lenses for my 15 Pro Max
  • Could you please make a comparison between the new freewell sherpa 2.0 lenses and filters and the new shiftcam ultra lenses and filters thank you
  • @lookingtorent331
Good review as always. I am shooting real estate rental. Current setup is a MT2, iPhone 15 pro. Due to tight places the videos and photos are mainly iPhone wide angle in low light therefore considering a wide angle lens to allow to use the main camera. Important to me is being able to keep the case on when not shooting therefore I like the Freewell, Sandmarc & moment cases, however in the uk we struggle to get sandmarc and moment unless ordering from USA. We can get Freewell. What wide angle lens would you recommend as I really value your opinion & experience.
  • @theonlyrevolt
If you had to pick a single brand lens to run on the iPhone 14 Pro Max what would you pick? I'm looking to invest in a single set of lens. Sandmarc, Freewell, Beastgrip, Shiftcam, Moment

I really don't know anything about it and I am looking for a good zoom lens for the iPhone 15 pro max. What I want is that I want to be able to zoom a lot further with the video camera, if possible, and with decent quality of course. Where do I use this; at the football, at a concert and at Tomorrowland. The problem is that I always stand very far away to film, I don't like standing in the crowd. That's why I need a good lens for video camera zooming (with a suitable case) for this for a maximum of 200 euros. Which is good both during the day and in the dark.
