The jewellery experts are always so eloquent and passionate in their appraising.

So nice to see a jewelry compilation. I wish they'd do more of these.

I'm really interested in jewellery, especially older pieces. I wish there was more of these clips, they're the ones I watch the most.
  • Geoffrey Munn is a poet, I enjoy his eloquent way of describing the beautiful gems.

what a fascinating statement 'its us who are the ephemeral things' I never thought about this obvious thing before. as we die but gems last seemingly forever or rather diamonds at least.

The yellow brazilian diamond is just amazing!

The clear sapphire is gorgeous, looks like a celonese sapphire; that bracelet/ring was amazing

" The stone ( diamond) is much older than the setting." 😂 Just about 3 billion years older.

The little Lalique ring is gorgeous. So delicate and in such good condition. I bet they’d sold it somewhere before they’d even got home. I hope the current owner enjoys the piece for what it is. Incidentally, the lady in the red top in the background looked so interested, at one point, I thought she’d pull up a seat at the table 😂 The yellow Brazilian diamond ring is breathtaking, very simple and definitely something I’d enjoy wearing.
  • The lady at the end was delightful - I hope that knowing that the jade ring was so valuable won't stop her enjoying it.
  • These prices would be higher in 2024 and even higher here in the U.S. The trends now tend to be more sleek or tailored if you will but this is my favorite too. Well done and thank you to the persòn who put it together!

Sometimes the families have been told ALL the stories the previous owner had been told or had LIVED thru. Other times they know next to nothing. I wish the young lady’s gramma had shared any of her stories she had because that treasure chest was so cool! The stories are so much fun. I think I need to record/document my jewelry so my kids and grands know what the stories are and that it’s ok if they want the money instead of keeping things in a box.

I bought a bracelet at a flea market for $3 many years ago. I wore it a few times, and received many compliments. Last year I took it to a jeweler to see if the clasp could be fixed. I found out it was 14k yellow gold. I sold it, and got $1460.00.
