A talented editor can probably make any software work but looks like after effects gives you a lot more control over the finer details
  • @DennisdeJong
Capcut is extremely good for what it is. But for some effects you just need more detailed control which is where the big guys come in.

CapCut did a really good job on being Beginner-Friendly to make sure everyone that uses it knows how to use it without much learning. The thing CapCut does is it makes it so simple to do stuff so people can move on to more advanced Editor Softwares.

As a “professional” capcut user, I’m proud how a mobile app is able to stay up there with the big editing softwares. Good job capcut! 🎉

4:30 , capcut can remove the green fringe , its a one more step you had to do , in the hsl tab , click on the green and reduce the saturation , or simpler step in , use auto cutout , its a one click option, works 80 percent of the time

I'm a freelancer video editor and I'm using capcut. Literally it gives you all the things you need in an extremely simple way. It's Perfect.

In all my videos and to this day, I only use capcut, easy, practical and wonderful lol

The masking part can actually turn out better, you need to copy the video, add it as an overlay, click remove background, and then fiddle with the masking and key frames (the diamond beside the undo button). CapCut does take time to figure out but is very easy and shortcuts are very helpful.

Plot twist: This entire video was edited in DaVinci Resolve
  • Hey there! I noticed you mentioned this great effects: Masking. You can achieve fantastic results by duplicating the footage and using it as an overlay. Add your text on top of it and then remove the background of the overlay clip. This technique can really make your content stand out! I hope this tip proves helpful. Keep up the good work! ❤️

I think the real kicker when it comes to the software is it's versatility. What makes after effects and premiere pro so special is how far you're allowed outside of "the box". While capcut is fantastic for handling specified instances, it sorta breaks when you need more out of it. Still though, it's impressive that mobile software can be this good, just a few years ago I would've needed 5 different apps to handle these effects. Great work on this weeks video man! These kind of comparisons are always awesome to see, keep it up :D

I find in life sometimes I choose simplicity over feature rich and it goes back and forth. To anyone listening out here... Don't choose.. use both.. just pick the scenario that works best for your brain for one over the other. Never feel the need to "switch" but instead say "great" I have a new tool that I can do this specific thing easier. I for one use resolve and I'm definitely gonna start diving into capcut cause it's probably lighter on my system and half the time I need to do the complex stuff really quick and simply with diving into complex and feature rich menus. But there will also be times for the complex and feature rich.

i love this , he is not like th e other content creators that stretch the video so long he was just on the point just love it u gained a sub!

As a capcut user, I have to admit that the quality isn't as insane as stuff like After Effects, or Alight Motion, but it's simple, time-saving, easy to learn, and gets the job done. Like it only took me 1 month to learn all of the controls.
  • @aselar7170
for capcut masking u can remove background automatically and then overlay on top of the video
  • @robomobius
Simplicity isn't what After Effects users want though. Also, a lot of the effects can be done a lot faster than you did them (not a personal dig) by some users. The tracking was worse on cap cut, the masking gives you next to no control, and it's the same with speed ramping. You have far better and finer control over everything in After Effects. At the end of the day, the real test is making an entire video, and we all know after effects is going to make a much better video and be a lot less finicky.

The real question is.. Which app did he edit this on?
