Here is a great statesman to be admired! After the first Nuclear Test, when the Western Nations threatened sanctions , the then PM Narasimha Rao of the Congress asked him to represent India in Davos. Despite political party differences he represented India and came back victorious! I salute a great leader, Atal Bihari Vajpayee!

I saw it live, it was very distressing, the way opponents HUMILIATED Atalji for two consecutive days, this are the LAST few minutes of the two day humiliation. Atalji faced it and replied with pride and dignity. Only a strong man can withstand such a storm, especially when he was RIGHT. I recollected Samudramantahn, Chakravuyh. Atalji was unshattered. While me, as a patriot was completely shattered.

Same people didn't vote for him in 2nd term in 2004. He definitely deserved more. People could vote for Manmohan's UPA govt. for two consecutive terms but didn't give him 2nd term. I fail to understand the mood of citizens, everybody praise him so much but what did they gave him in return?

Here it is not about party. Vajpayee and Narasimha Rao are among the greatest leaders of this country. The legacy of these men cannot be claimed by either congress or bjp. It belongs to those individuals only.
