Fortnite Is UNPLAYABLE On Console...

The thing that’s ruining the experience for me is that ever since Christmas I’ve had ungodly lag on Nintendo Switch, I would lag but not this much.

When I was on my ps4 I used to freeze but only for a second. It was really annoying and strange. It typically would occur when I would try to build or deal damage or take damage. It wouldn’t happen all the time but it seemed like it was only Fortnite that the freezing would occur. This happened over a span of several months

Hi Tabor, I've been playing fortnite on Ps4 for a while and I have experienced that lag quit a lot, tends to only really happen when I'm fighting people like at 4:37. It's been a little better since the recent update but still happens. I've also noticed since the recent chapter I've been having ping at packet loss like crazy.

I was really looking forward to someone making a video about this! I play Fortnite on a PS4 and I swear, everytime I die, the game just freezes! And it's so annoying for me because when I'm about to headshot someone with a shotgun and they shoot at me, the game freezes and I just keep thinking that if it hadn't frozen I could've killed them

I play on Xbox OneS and it sometimes freeze but the most annoying thing is the constant fps drops, build mode is completely unplayable, they should give an option to lower the graphics

Freezes were happening on our PS4 too so much so that my son fully switched to PC. After the freezes, he would sometimes either get kicked or lose the ability to swap weapons, shoot, jump - all sorts of weird glitches. It's sad to see the last gen consoles getting phased out.

Its been a month. This crap is still happening. I was getting 15fps last night on a 1gb internet connection. No other content creator cares about us console players. Tabor please tell who ever you know at Epic that people are quitting because of this. I know I've said this before but I am done with Fortnite until they fix their #!@#% game.

Oh thank you for showing this. I have this freezing all the time and when the camera won't stop shaking. It's so frustrating but I want to play this season because it's fun. Also Im on PS4 but my friends have the same problems but they are on PS5. Anyways I'm happy to see I'm not alone

Have gotten lots of glitches lately, like not being able to equip a weapon or even shoot (and use my pickaxe). Also been glitches where I cant run and EXTREME LAG SPIKES in creative (my internet is fine too). There’s lag in normal games but not as much. There’s also been glitches where I can’t even move. Hope Epic acknowledges this

Yeah it's definitely the performance with last gen consoles. It's similar to the frame drops on Nintendo switch which looks exactly the same!

Glad someone is shedding some light on this matter. Some people cannot afford to get something else or just don’t have access to a better console or a powerful PC. Fortnite really needs to do something to fix this and make it better.

I play on a nintendo switch and even in zero builds I have huge fps dropps which irritate me so much cause It happens so often even in creative. And I also feel your pain, it is so annoying to freeze in the air mid fight, I was playing ultra pit and I froze in the air for a solid 10 seconds, we really need a "performance mode" option

Oh my goodness YES, this always happens to me during gameplay, it can be so infuriating at times.

Mine was doing that when I had an Xbox One during chapter 3 so this has been going on for a long time. I just recently got a Series X and it’s finally not freezing anymore. They just don’t care about old gen anymore.

I have not had any experience with lag or freezing or anything like that but my game has been taking freaking centuries to load up and get into a game. My mom even got me an Xbox Series X for Christmas because she saw how long it took me to get into a match. It would take anywhere form 1-3 minutes of staring at a loading screen to finally get into a game

Enable fps on your hud that way you can tell if it’s with the console or game ( if it’s at 0 on the freeze then it’s the game, if it’s on 60 and a freeze then it’s the console)

my friends always make fun of me for missing an easy shotgun shot (im a ps4 player) i always have to explain to them how fortnite always freezes up on the ps4 somehow thank you so much for explaining this issue, and i hope fortnite finds a way to fix this

Not really a console guy here with issues as i switch from PS4 to PC in 2020, but i experience many controller issues and its just frustrating, most buttons wont even work/pop up, like leaving a match, readying up, or sometimes switching modes, hell, my augments dont even appear since i change my binds on my controller to work with augments, so i have to make a sacrifice a bind i like or just press the number 7 key on my keyboard, im seriously believing the new chapter has brought issues to a multitude of platforms as my friend who was on switch just fully moved to PC from switch after its gotten incredibly unplayable for him and after hearing how it is on last gen and some current gen, it just proves my point

I get a same-esque version of this glitch and I call it "the frames glitch". It basically where my game freezes and then my frames drop to like 5-10 fps for about 10 or more seconds but gradually fixes. When I'm in FN chat and the frames glitch happens even my friends voice and the ui lags and freezes. It's annoying and has even caused me to die a few times and I really hope they fix this.
