  • niche twilight drama stimulates something in my brain that can only be explained by neuroscientists of the highest caliber

Lmaoo @ Stephanie Meyer saying “I don’t read romance, it’s too smutty” like girlie didn’t you write about Bella crying out for dick for 3 books straight?????
  • @abbysnofun
stephanie meyer being mormon should put a lot of the christian girl autumn vibes in context
  • @ma_kenz
I can’t believe 14-year-old me risked going to hell to secretly read these books because my mom thought they were demonic 💀
  • @theOnlydillweed1
If twilight had taken place in the Victorian era, this is the point where Edward would have told Bella to cover her fucking ankles
  • @melrosebooks
My favorite part of Midnight Sun was that he kept referring to his inner monster… sorta like how Anastasia from 50 Shades has an inner goddess. So… Stephanie Meyer ripped off the person who ripped her off, which is a pettiness I support
  • You absolutely cannot separate Twilight’s inherent weirdness from Meyer’s whack ass Mormonism. Which makes her books so much fun to analyze through that context.
  • @onescentperbook
The fact that Stephenie Meyer's husband is named Christian is also funny. E L James has no shame.

the twilight cast looked camp right in the eye for sure and I love them for it

I need twilight from the perspective of Charlie Swan. Really curious about what he was thinking the whole time.

Stephanie Meyer being Mormon is why I read the books as a 10 year old because another girl in my church told me I had to read it because the author is one of us. I read it without knowing what it was about back in 2006 and omg I ate that up in 3 days and I was hooked

The only thing about the “Twilight” series that REALLY grinds my gears is Jacob Black’s character. He was genuinely a good guy that turned really creepy. And then having him imprint on their daughter?! Come on now! Without the Cullens I think Bella would’ve had a happy life with Jacob and it’s sad. 😂😭

Girl honestly its insane that all of the stuff that you upload literally align with my interest (or we all were just collectively too active on tumblr back then)
  • @doitsushine92
midnight sun is amazing because even edward is weirded out by his own actions, calls himself an obsessed vampire stalker and judges his own thoughts for freaking out over the possibility of a tsunami ripping through forks and killing bella
  • @Katranga
I remember reading that leaked messy PDF and it was basically half the book. I was ok that Meyer said “you’re never getting the rest!” because it went all the way to the meadow scene and that’s all I really needed
  • @rinisonline4312
i forgot how earth shattering bella’s floor length khaki skirt is
  • I used to live near a paper mill and the paper mill was really struggling financially and was about to close down UNTIL 50 shades of grey came out. the paper mill was tasked with making paper for those books and the books were so popular the paper mill was saved! she is still thriving to this day
  • @charlea533
i can’t believe you didn’t mention that because gerard way had ptsd from 9/11 he created my chemical romance, who stephanie said she often listened to while writing the book and was inspired by … so 9/11 basically caused fifty shades
  • @Niyapapaya8
There is an element of Stephanie Meyer and her writing that is interesting and strange because she is Mormon. There is so much to unpack there - sincerely an ex-Mormon 😂
