ISLE OF WIGHT: Our Journey to the Beautiful British Island// Happy Friday everyone, We are so happy to publish a 2nd video this week and show you our journey to the Isle of Wight, the beautiful British island located in the English channel. We took the car ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne which was so easy and only took 45 minutes. From Fishbourne, it's only about a 15 minute drive to Osborne House, the gorgeous family home of Queen Victorian & Prince Albert. We loved it so much that we spent most of our time there. In the afternoon we drove to The Needles, the famous landmark on the Isle of Wight. The day went by so quickly and we wish we would have had more time. But we simply loved it and can't recommend the island any more highly. Hope you will like the video! Have a lovely weekend. Kirsten & Joerg xx

  • Every destination that you have visited, Kirsten and Joerg, you have showcased and presented in such a stunning way, and the Isle of Wight is no exception. Who would not want to visit after this?! The details of history, your knowledgeable narration and the incredible scenery make for yet another beautiful Vlog.
  • @VionaBee
Thank you for your efforts in filming whether rain, wind or shine, whether it's crowded or there is no one around.. I also appreciate how you manage to show us pictures when you're not allowed to film something. And how we always learn something new. This was another successful and wonderful trip from our favorite couple. ☺️
  • I think Prince Albert was brilliant! He was teaching his children how average people had to work, grow their own food and make their own way in life. This gave the children compassion for others, hopefully. It also gave them comprehension of how you could work hard, but the garden could fail. Or how hard it was to stand on your feet, ache from pulling weeds, wait to see if you made any progress, etc. Also, if the world changed, Wars broke out or fortunes were lost...Prince Albert had shown his nine children, how to live as a commoner, given them practical skills....and spent hours with them...instead of just letting hired staff bond with them. SMART, LOVING FATHER!
  • What an absolutely gorgeous adventure!!!!! You just keep providing more and more pure joy. I’m in love with the cottage and how their Papa enjoyed raising his children. Brilliant video. 💜💜💜
  • @SM80FG
Love their overlapping/mirrored "V" and "A" logo on the ceiling. So simple and beautiful and good.
  • @janis6363
Beautiful and no wonder Victoria adored Albert so much.
  • Oh my, the Swiss Cottage!   As a child, one of my very favorite things to do was play house. The more realistic, detailed, and to-scale, the better! I would have ADORED having a whole play cottage with dishes and a garden and everything! What an amazing place the Osborne Estate is, and what a surprise treat to have a Friday video! :) Thank you Kirsten and Joerg!
  • How happy your faces are after your visit to the Isle of Wight, so joyful to see, makes me feel nostalgia for childhood memories of day trips to the coast. Thank you both for showing how amazing the UK is I'm a very proud brit and love the fact that you're proud German's who love the UK too, that's what all us folk should be doing, uniting as one and enjoying the best of life. Blessings to you and all Louisa and Sas (pug)
  • Thank you so much for always setting up the camera and taking a walk hand in hand. Your relationship is so precious. It is wonderful how you compliment each other so perfectly. What a beautifully filmed and narrated post. I LOVED it! What a happy, romantic place.
  • I adore how Prince Albert enriched the lives of his children with experiences that were much more important than wealth. I imagine those same lessons were passed along by a least a few (if not all) of his children to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren…etc.
  • How lovely - especially seeing the children’s cottage and garden. What a wonderful trip. Thank you for sharing - from Brisbane Australia.
  • As a native of the island ( known as caulkheads ) its really interesting to see other people’s perspective of my home , it’s a shame you didn’t have the time to see the back of the island, with the military road from freshwater all the way to blackgang , this is a beautiful coastal road with many Chine’s ( local word describing a gorge) dotted along the coastline, I think when you live in an area that is so beautiful you really don’t appreciate it enough, I hope you had good time , looked like you did. Little fact, the Roman name for the island was Vectis.👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
  • The Isle of Wight is beautiful and I would say well worth a longer visit. Somewhere to plan for for next year, perhaps? Thank you for the lovely video 💕
  • That was a wonderful day out! You must return to the I.O.W again and stay over. There is so much more to see especially Bonchurch, Ventnor, Carisbrooke Castle, Godshill etc. Did you know the six wonders of the Isle of Wight? They are: The Cowes you cannot milk, The Freshwater you cannot drink, The Newport that will not be bottled, The Needles you cannot thread, The Brook that will not wet your feet and Ryde where you walk! X
  • Wunderschön. Vor 2 Jahren hatte ich eine Reise nach England gebucht, auch zur Isle of Wight. Auch dieses Anwesen war geplant. Durch die Pandemie wurde die Reise abgesagt. Schade. Danke euch für das schöne Video 🙏
  • Loved our visit to the Isle of Wight, and Osbourne House is just stunning!
  • I really love this video. Victoria and Albert's home is absolutely beautiful. The children's bedroom is so beautiful.
  • Thank you for coming to our wonderful island. I am glad you enjoyed the trip. Living here we tend to take it for granted. 🇬🇧
  • KIRSTEN, I JUST WANT TO COMMEND YOU ON THE INCREDIBLE MUSIC PAIRED WITH THE GARDENS! SO SUBLIME AND CHARMING! THANK YOU FOR SUCH AN INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS VISIT!
  • So cool! You two have become my tour guides extraordinaire, as it's unlikely I'll ever visit these places myself. The Gilded Age and the Victorian era are my favorites. No, I'm not named for her (another interesting story). Here's to more exciting journeys and discoveries to come🎉
