MOVED THE HIDE AND IT PAID OFF! || Capercaillie Part 2 || Bird photography, Nikon Z8

If you find yourself wanting come to Tiveden National park and photograph the beautiful capercaillie, black grouse, hazel grouse or something entirely different contact David over at.
www.naturguidetiveden.se/en/

I was invited by a company called Natur Guide Tiveden, to come up north to photograph and take inventory of the beautiful capercaillie, my goal was to get to know the area and learn how the birds moved, how many and if there was more activity in the forest around and ofcourse photograph the mythical creature known as the western capercaillie.

I was given an entire lek site for myself and David supplied me with a hide which I had to setup and move by myself which gave me alot of oppertunities to place the hide where I saw fit and where I believed it to the best place to photograph and record the birds.

Had a great couple of days in the woods all by myself and I´m looking forward to what could come next.

Hope you enjoy the video, if you did please feel free to

  • Excellent Filming Anders and this Format little bit of talking but Mostly Beautifully Shot Documentary with many different excellent angles is a Winner Format for you. I've watched few of your Videos now and its Great to see the Nice Evolution to World Class Filming in the Forest of Sweden!

  • Fina bilder du tog! Så kul att du fick bra utdelning för allt jobb du la ner. 🖒
  • Great video Andy, your knowledge and field craft really paid off in getting some great video and stills images. I really liked the audio of the capercaillie clucking/calling.

Awesome - loved this video :) Neat idea putting the wireless mic right up there away from the hide!

What an awesome video Andy! You must have been thrilled to get such good footage of the bird. The capercaillie is such a handsome bird and the sound he makes is so funny. Is he there the whole year?

Sorry Andy. Not trying to be mean here. I decided to watch this “Bird Photograghy’ video hoping to learn something or actually see some awesome photos. Instead the first 6.5 minutes were of everything but.. Sure spend a few seconds saying that you need to move the blind, but we don’t really care about you building a fire. The few seconds of video was very nice and the 2 photos were great but I found this a waste of 11 minutes.
