"Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad"..
  • 💯 2 happy homes are better than 1 dysfunctional home. Steve is the best counselor, pastor, uncle… everything.

I was so touched watching this clip, tears streaming down my face. It is so good to know there are still good people out there

This got me so emotional. I'm not a young man and I did grow up with 2 parents but boy did this video touch my heart.
  • Broderick is one of the most emotionally mature young men I’ve ever heard speak. Wow. Very impressed. He’s a fashion designer? Shoot..if he ever wants to change paths he should get a Psychology Degree and start a practice as a therapist. It seems to come easy to him.

I needed to hear your son say that. I was divorced and took care of three kids on my own. Their dad decided to bugger off. He fought me on everything. I did what I did for my children. I got no sleep for my kids. I helped them through school, watched all their games, graduations and other events Their dad did nothing. He left. Left me to care for them. When my kids graduated and moved out to further their college degrees my youngest contacted his dad. This made me mad. Made me upset and hurt. How could he go and have a relationship with his dad when his dad did nothing. Now that there was no more money to fork out he decides to let his son in. I was hurt. I get upset every time he would tell me. He doesn’t tell me often but it hurts when he did. But hearing your sons prospective made me realize why my son did what he did. I can now see it from my sons point of view and no longer from my stubborn , selflessness view. Thank you.
  • I love the way Roderick busted out Steve for not being there and the look on Steve’s face was priceless. My daddy was in and out and became sober when I was in my thirties. I accepted him right away and he spent the rest of his life being the great and different man my Ma said he would be if he got sober. Although she was jealous and resentful of him, I am forever grateful to God and the Salvation Army for aiding and assisting my Daddy with treatment and housing for the last 20 years in his life.

Man, why they cancelled this show!!!! We need shows and talk shows like this lead by real wholesome man. We need more conversations like this for men, young men, older men to encourage, elevate and empower each other which will also elevate and empower women too... We need good men and this show was bringing that out for us. Such a big mistake to cancel. Love you Steve and all that you have done for our generations 💝🙏💝🙏

❤❤❤#Steve, please continue to do shows like this. It uplifts the black boy in becoming a man , It uplifts and strengthens the men who become guardians, role models and fathers and it give women with no male model hope for their guys. I cried watching this because there is so much love in this room and it have showed me once again that there are plenty of #GOODBLACKMEN #SendingLoveAndLightToEvery1 #Nameste
  • This session made me cry when Steve said the men in his community was going to put their arms around that young man and get him where he has to go. It was wonderful to see and glorious to hear. It's what real men should do for the youth today and I applaud and thank them👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🏆🏆🏆🤴🏽🤴🏽👑👑👍🏽

This conversation is so on point! Notice, every Male here, was missing their Father and it causes so much brokenness. 😢 That needs to change. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK STEVE🙏🏾👍🏼❤

I would love to see more conversations like this. There is a drought of manhood in this society and an entire generation of fatherless men who truly don’t know our place and what it means to be a man. Please, more conversations like this would be very useful.
  • That's A BLESSING That This Youngman Has ALOT Of Guys That Will MENTOR Him...AMEN AMEN
  • This is the best video I ever saw Steve do!!! He’s fixing the broken things in our community one man at a time. Keep it up Steve!!!! You are on the path!!
  • This is a SHOUT OUT to all Dads who stepped up and raised another man's children. When I met my wife she had 2 kids and I had 2 kids. We've been married 14 years and never had kids together. In our family "step" is a cuss word. All these kids are our kids and now grandkids. It takes a real man to not run from responsibility, work out the issues, and make a family. However there's times when 2 people can't work out the issues for whatever reason so I believe that an even better real man is one who raises another man's kids and loves them just like they're his. I have all my kids names tattooed in my skin whether they have the same last name means nothing to me. They're all my kids and I love them all dearly.
