“Do I need it? No… but it’s cool” Pretty much sums up a lot of my purchases

I’ve had this knife for two years. I carry it daily as an HVAC tech and I use it constantly. It’s a great knife. I take it apart every two months or so when pocket lint starts to hinder the action. It’s easy to take down. I lube it with silicon spray lube. Works great. My only complaint is that the screws for the pocket clip thread into the G10 scales. I had to use red locktite to resolve that issue. Other than that it’s an awesome knife. The lockup is the same as a microtech. Rock solid.

Looks cool, happy to see an OTF that’s not just a box lol I’ve had a few and so far my favorite has been the stuff from guardian tactical. I might have to give this one a try. Need an OTF back in my life.

When I was in the market for an OTF, it came down to the hogue compound and a gt recon 035. I ended up going with the recon 035 and have been kicking myself ever since. Thanks for the vid, Kev. Great work 👏.

Have to agree, Jim is definitely tripping with his take on the design. That's an incredibly appealing aesthetic for an OTF, and honestly I would support a company like Hogue in any and every avenue I can manage. The texture is unique and something you never see in OTF's, and I just appreciate the fact it isn't your average rectangle like every other in existence. Nice purchase Kev🤘

Hey man credit to you for not trashing s30v like so many other reviewers. There’s a reason so many companies still use it, it’s a balanced steel with great edge retention. Also if newer people to the community start feeling like they should question s30v, I recommend watching supersteelsteve’s or any of the old “HRC brigade” s30v testing and see how well it did against things like m390/20cv and others.

What I wish they would do is run a non collectors Magnacut version as I won’t do many of benchmades as they run all of there’s in s30v for well over 300 but overall I don’t mind the handle but I’m actually one who’s not mad with the glass breaker and I like there idea with the tritium but overall not bad but I don’t mind the colossus either

I like the look of the Counterstrike better but just more my style. The other part that's good to lube is the opposite of where you did the spine so the ricaso I guess, sort of, right next to the handle. The blade stops on most OTF's spring load from the ceiling and floor, so to speak. So they ride along the top and bottom.

I’m a huge Microtech fan (and a lefty as well), and enjoy having a full or partial serration. Do you know if Hogue offers serrated blades? I checked the BladeHQ link you left and only saw straight blades. Thanks for the great video!

I'm not an otf guy but I do like the way that looks. I don't like those skinny blades you usually get and I to like the G10 better and the finger toil. Good video brother 👍
