Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty was and is one of my heroes. We should all learn from his selfless courage and love. Thank you for posting this.

We should be tought about these wonderful caring people who have done amazing things in the care of there fellow man. Looking forward to reading and watching his legacy. Also looking forward to telling anyone who will listen.

A great man working with other great men (Sam Derry, Bill Simpson, John Furnam, John May) and too many other men and women to mention here. All of them demonstrated great courage, resourcefulness, integrity and ingenuity to save about 6,500 lives during WWII. I am glad that a memorial is now in place in Killarney (despite the Monsignor's wish to avoid public recognition), because it reminds us all of what humans can achieve.

A truly saintly man.
