Love how your parents allow you to show these rooms. It helps process our OWN rooms like this (or the garagešŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø). Thanks to all of you!!
  • @maureenrau6341
"This is one giant 'time will tell' bin!" - what a great perspective for us to take when decluttering storage spaces
  • @andreamcgee485
Dawn - I've never had one of the first comments! Just want to tell you what a difference you've made in my home and life - thank you dearly! And best to your sweet sister. Love your videos together!
  • @Anne_Logo
When Diana spotted Dawn in her drawing and Dawn said ā€œWell I would hope so, Iā€™m kind of a pivotal character in your life.ā€ šŸ˜‚ I love seeing you girls together! ā¤
  • My daughter and I finally finished going through my ā€˜junkā€™ room - actually where I was collecting both ā€˜to donateā€™ and ā€˜time will tellā€™ things - and made a trip to the donation center this morning. We packed the back of her SUV (seats down) and the trunk and backseat of my car with all the thjngs. I ended up keeping none of the ā€˜time will tellā€™ items. I got an entire room back. So happy.

I haven't watched the whole video yet, but seeing you talk about storing the medical supplies in case you need them I'm going to suggest seeing if your local council on aging has a lending library of things like that. When my mom died we donated walkers, commodes, canes, and more and it was so happily accepted and I know that if we, or anyone else in the community needs it, it will all get used. Probably a much better way to "store" it, where it will be used a lot. So even if you have to re-buy something later, you know that what you had went to good use.
  • @karendrotar674
My absolute favorite video that you have ever done(and i love all of themšŸ˜‚) I am Nana now, and i want to have simple curated spaces that my grandchildren can enjoy. And can i just say that your boys are such great helpers!!! I am going to watch this one several times as I work on my unused bedrooms!!! Thanks Dawn, you are awesome!
  • @robinhoppin
Iā€™m always so excited to se a new video by Dawn. Thanks so much for your consistency in putting out these videos. It helps so many who are in the place you were in years ago when you decided to start your minimalism journey.
  • @kakylong2
Dawn & Diana, That is so awesome what y'all are doing for your parents' house. It's going to be so nice after it's all done. I can't believe how tall Corbin & Gage are getting. Wow! They are always great helpers. šŸ˜Š

FYI-Quilters store quilts in pillow cases so they can breathe. My aunt was a blue ribbon Master quilter.

So true!! Here in Florida and really need to evaluate what is necessary and important. We have been through 3 hurricanes and the aftermath of devastation is an eye opener in what is really important!
  • As I watched this video, I slowly realized that thanks to your guidance, I have learned many new helpful strategies to deal with decluttering. If I had been faced with that room before I found your YouTube channel, I would have been overwhelmed, and abandoned the mess. But, because of your teachings, I knew immediately how I would have tackled the room. I have used the tools and skills that you have taught me, and I find decluttering and organizing are so simple now. The difference between how I view and handle these tasks today compared to before are like night and day. That's in large part due to you. Thanks for all that you do for us. It truly is making a huge difference!
  • @Clutterbug
This was a HUGE transformation! Less really is more.
  • @bethtaylor491
You have changed my life with videos just like this one. This bedroom looks like my house. Thank you for teaching me one step at a time!
  • As a grandmother I love what you are doing for your parents and all the grandchildren šŸ„°
  • @lauriereber8939
In my area we have a hospis home that will accept blankets, hand made or purchased. They need to be in good condition and clean. They use them for comfort blankets for the families. This may be another place to donate to, as well as the pet shelter. Thank you for this video. It helped me so much when you said "This is a giant time will tell bin". It change my thinking around my storage areas. Thank you for all your hard work.
  • I agree that this is a favorite of your videos. Having your mother on board, and working with Diane helps. I was amazed all you accomplished. Plus, painting adds a finished look, and seeing your boys put their touch on the dpace is cute. Now I want to watch the decluttering of the other bedroom. I've mentioned before, but my eldest son's name was Eric. A nice strong name. Keep up the good work on your childhood home. šŸ˜Š
  • @wendyg.97
I feel so much lighter just WATCHING you two make progress! You're doing great!!
  • @teeshebas2478
I gave my son my old digital camera so he could practice taking pictures. Heā€™s developed a real love for it but not only that, his perspective is awesome! That iPod charger is that old fat oneā€¦ we still have one we use for older phones we have turned into ā€œradiosā€ for our kids.
