Productivity Tips for ARTISTS

Published 2023-03-22
How to be more #productive as an #artist freelancer, and content creator. The 80 20 rule can be used as a tool to help you prioritize your time and effort. I used to say yes to every project that came my way, but now I'm learning the power of saying no to keep my time sacred and devoted only to projects that truly matter.

P.S. The two ink drawings in this video are some of the first drawings I've made in a sketchbook in a long time! I draw pretty much exclusively digitally these days, using my Wacom Cintiq drawing tablet. Drawing on physical media is kinda therapeutic and more easy on the eyes than looking at a screen - but when I make a mistake, my left hand wants to push the Undo button on my keyboard...but there's nothing there!

  • Great tips. I generally struggle with marketing so this was a huge help. I tend to accept any paying job thinking it's productivity only to feel like I earned nothing in the end because the income was nowhere near the effort put out.

There are lots of videos about the 80-20 principle you mentioned, but what makes yours precious in my eyes are the examples you gave (especially the personal ones). Thank you for that! I hope you'll share more of your personal experience in future videos. Oh, and the inking time-lapses are amazing. :)
